Apparently losing more than 2 pounds a week isn't good (well, at the start it's okay because some is water weight). Anyway, a pound is somewhere around 3500 calories. So if you work off 3500 calories more than you consume in a week, you've lost a pound; 7000 for two. If you lose more than that, that means you're starving yourself and your body goes into starvation mode. At that point, your body starts feeding on what it's got, and it starts on the muscle before the fat since muscle is more useful.

I'm sure the numbers are different for every person, but I think that's a good guideline. Ten pounds a month when you start out should be okay (the water weight thing), but 15 pounds means you're depriving yourself of 13000+ calories a week (depending on the month).

But check with a diet physician cuz I'm not one and some of my numbers may be wrong.

You are correct more than 2 pounds a week is dangerous.

I averaged around 2 pounds a week and that is about average.

Some of the problems is if you loose too much too quickly when you gain it back you gain back more than before..
Trust me, I know.. It is one reason I gained 20 pounds in a month earlier this year..

Be patient, it takes time but the benefits are plenty.
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

Thats why I gave myelf a range of weight to lose. I will be fine with just 10. Two pounds a week is pushing it. I will more than likely be at about around 8-10 lbs. With a good diet change, I can achieve 10. My diet hasn't been the best as of late.

I also have several books on how to get the calories and nutrition I need to accomplish this. Trust me, I am not going to endanger myself just to lose that extra pound or two. 15 is my top end. I realistically don't think I will go past a 12 pound drop.
