Three for three

Postby TheCactus » Tue Jul 10, 2007 9:56 am

Well I've never bought three transformers in three days before, but this weekend I did, and I'm pretty damn pleased with all of them. On Friday I bought Movie Legends Barricade. I think someone already started a thread about this guy so I won't go on about him, but he is really cool. I'm a big fan of the Legends class, and this little dude definately does the line justice.
On Saturday I was lucky enough to find Titanium Series 6" G1 Ultra Magnus in the John Lewis in Sehffield for £9.95! Not buying him would have seemed like a crime, and, apart from a slightly wobbly left arm, he is a damn fine toy, one of my favourites I think.
The final purchase was the first non-minicon Classics toy I've bought. After spending about 10 minutes in Forbidden Planet trying to decide between him and Cliffjumper, I eventually went for Bumblebee, purely because he's a bit less of a nob in the cartoon, and I'm very happy with him. His transformation is satisfyingly challenging, his detailing is lovely (right down to the carseat kneepads and the slightly wonky-angled Autobot heat symbol) and random though the jetski trailer feature is, it does make him look really awesome in robot mode. Plus, he can hold Titanium Magnus' gun- bonus!

All in all, a good weekend for Transformers. Did anyone else make any cool purchases in the past few days?

I bought the Bumblebee movie figure again because my first one broke, And i got Ironhide and jazz yesterday aslo from the movie line. Right now the only figures that i see in the stores are movie figures. I guess they took the other ones down for now to make room for the TF movie figures. Not that im complaining becasue these movie figures kick ass! I like the movie designs much better then the originals.

Motto: "Doing things my own way and never giving up!"
You should go back and buy Cliffjumper too, looks better than BB out of package.
Check out my sales thread, plenty of Generations, and Reveal the Shield figures for sale!!

I completed my mixed up energon bruticus maximus. He sports two green tank arms a yellow tank leg and the orange copter for the other. Screwy but it looks cool. At bot con I got my 3rd club combiner limb so I paired those w/ the torso and 1 limb to finish energon superion maximus. They're all red so they look even better.
