The Titans Return Blitzwing is a great mold. Much better than the Generations version from a couple of years back. But the 2 thing that bothers me most are 1) the side kibbles in fighter jet mode, the parts where the whole lower arms are split in two and just hung under the wings & 2) the gun turret under the fuselage... and an idea struck me. These parts almost make up a tank itself! So I proceeded with this easy, easy 5 minutes mod and I'm calling him "Splitzwing" from now on . Splitzwing ends up doing the Overlord thing of splitting into a plane & a tank as well as its triple-changing self.

There's really nothing to it, just drilling a 5mm hole in the gun turret where the Titan Master butt would sit. Trade Blitzwing's gun with his wave-mate Octone (Octane). Finally pull the arms & turret out from their sockets and put the parts together like Lego.

The mini tank's turret can turn about 90 degrees (45 deg each side). And the jet & tank scale pretty well!

The jet fighter is of course much sleeker now.

That is absolutely awesome and I kind of want to do it with my Megatron. Brilliant!

Do it! It's a fun mod. Do-able as long as you can drill a 5 mm hole and have a gun with 3x 5mm handles. It's hard to mess up...

Well, looks like you found out how to make a proper Titans Return Flywheels/Skythread!

There's an official Skytread Titan Masters, so I guess I can get it to ride itself! That's so meta!

I know it exist, which is why I suggested this mod would make for a great Skythread. Sure, there's Overlord/Sky Shadow but its imo too big for the character.

I agree, Voyager is a better size for Skytread/Flywheels.

it is decent looking figure but how does he look in robot with this modifcation work you did

The only "modification" is the hole I drilled in the turret where the titan master sits. You just pop the arms & turret off, borrow Octone's gun to partform the tank. You can put everything back together.

It's more of an extra play pattern thing. So instead of just a triple-changer, he can also be a Duocon.

Nice work. If you had another Blitzwing, or some spare tank parts, you could attach them to the front mushroom pegs in front to fill out the tank more.
