titans return fortmax: what is that for?

Motto: ""Freedom is the right of all sentient beings""
Weapon: Dual Rocket-Propelled Grenade Launcher
the double barreled leg gun that mounts on the side of fortmax's left leg has pegs on the back bottom that would seem to mount on some kind of female hinge ports but I do not see a spot like that on fortmax, has anyone found a way to utilize these or what they are for?

Some pictures would help. That is, if you do have TR Fortmax.
Come see my latest creation, the COMPLETE combiner team, Scorponok and his Pretenders, forming SHELLSHOCK

It's a wild guess but maybe it's to attach other bases to make a giant city.

Doubtful. The way the gun pegs onto the leg, leaves the slot pretty inaccessible to everything you would want to connect there. And using the hinge clip to attach it to anything else, means you can't really use the side peg to attach it to Fortress Maximus. There's just no way I can see for that gun to serve as a city extender. Even in that picture, I don't believe its using the back slot to attach to Astrotrain, more than its just resting there.

I believe it can attach onto the back of Blaster and by extension Soundwave, but why you would want to do that, I'm not sure.

Might be a feature that was scrapped before release.

it probably is a scrapped feature. I tried connecting to the ramps and back of blaster doesn't quite fit. I also thought maybe the handles of his shin guns, that he can also hold, might attach there to replicate the double barreled gun the original fortmax had. no such luck though. oh well

Yeah, maybe a future toy will have something it can connect to. Who knows.
