Mine is batch number 71241.

The chest door does hang out a bit on the left side when looking at the front of Trypticon.

As far as the hips go, I mentioned before I cut the springs in half and did nothing else. They seem loose. So I just did the compression on the other spring and installed it. While it moves better than it did before, it's still uncomfortably hard to move. I'm going to put the half spring back in and try finding all new springs at a hardware store. If anyone has any recommendations some national chains (Home Depot, Lowes, Ace) I'm all ears. Thanks.

Got Tryp a few days ago from HTS - 71351

- Legs are fine after bouncing on the springs for a while. If anything I over did it, because I couldn't feel a difference until I reassembled him.
- Chest door is not tight, but does not hang open. Clearly NOT warped. Full-Tilt's attachment is likewise fine.
- Tail ramp is completely loose with no tabs or friction - it goes wherever gravity takes it.

My big problem, though is the tail itself. I think I must have done something wrong to it. It now takes an incredible amount of force to move out of ship-position, and is completely loose (cannot hold itself up) when it's not in ship position. I feel I must have irreparably damaged it, but for the life of me, I cannot find any sort of button release I was supposed to be using to unlock it.

I may have this too, but I think it may just be a weird design. The tail seems to have no way to lock it in place when in dino mode, so it just rests on the ground. But the hinges aren't ratchets or even friction joints, and there aren't any tabs or anything else to hold it in place. So I think they meant for Tryp to just drag his tail behind him if you are using a godzilla type stance. If you are using a raptor type stance, then you want the tail in ship mode.

Quoting Emerje's tidy little list to fill in the blank:

70981 - No ramp tabs. Warped chest door.
71071 - No ramp tabs. Warped chest door. Easily broken hips. Poor hip assembly.
71241 - Easily broken hips.
71331 - No ramp tabs. Warped chest door. Poor hip assembly.
71461 - Ramp tabs. Chest door OK. Hips OK?
71561 - Ramp tabs. Chest door OK. Hips move in one direction but not the other.

So yeah. The ramp has it's tabs, and the chest door is not warped, locks in fine on both sides , and holds the weight of Fulltilt. The hips moved just fine in one direction but were very hard to rotate back the other. I went ahead (and had planned all along to) do the compression method to the springs. It was an easy fix and all is right as rain. Hips are easy to ratchet and they fully support the weight of the figure in any position.

I was worried about the tail hinge too. Man! Is that click it makes scary! I think it is supposed to stay lose in monster mode and just swing to conform to whatever stance you put him in.

Other than all that technical stuff, boy is he impressive! I was honestly a bit hesitant to get him at first, but now I'm glad I did. He is MASSIVE, and mean, and so much FUN!

No, Florida. I don't even know what kid of store Menards is.

So I found some springs at Home Depot I thought would work but they weren't the right size and didn't compress enough. I just added 2 layers of cardboard under the half spring and it seems just about right now. I'm calling it done. Now I have to apply 10,000 stickers.

Nightbeat is the version of Minerva native to the Legends World, having acquired her own Headmaster suit from a pair of mass-produced Master-Braces.

The Minerva of the cartoon universe is a separate character regarded as the "actual" Minerva and who also exists in the Legends World, having come to that universe from the cartoon universe with Fortress's team of Autobots. Unlike Nightbeat, she tends to dress more modestly and isn't allied with Weirdwolf's Decepticons.
