Happy to accept any of this as fact if anyone can find via Google searches people talking about Hasbro or Takara Tomy employees stating something to this effect at some point. This isn't the first time that I've heard this, it's just no one can seem to point me in the direction of where it originally came from. I can back track via Google to find where people were complaining about minor issues with some of their toys from this mold, and people making statements that they
think the mold is degrading, but from what I've been able to find no one seems to make a statement that anyone from those companies made a statement at some point. Just lots of fans turning assumptions into fan-facts.

Sounds like a problem with your particular Ultra Magnus, as that was the first reuse of the mold and came out shortly after the release of Optimus, that there wouldn't have been mold degradation at that point. There are no issues with any of my versions of this toy. They all transform fine, they all line up fine, all four wheels touch the ground in vehicle mold. None of them are loose.
