ok wait... im confused again... still...
i assumed they were releasing two hegemons: one black and one reissue grey.

but this "black" version is actually the reissue... which is just a different shade of grey than the original? thats... dumb.

Yup, it's so very weird, and makes all the photoshopped pre-order pics hilarious in hindsight.

But I gotta say, it actually looks really, really nice, I seem to like it more than the original colouring, well save for the black instead of red on his sides.

It looks like the TW-01B has a black helmet .

Looks like Marvel comics colors to me.

Don't mind the inclusion of the comic-colored head, but the lack of red detailing on the lower torso and the grey stripe along the front of the lower legs is really off-putting to me.

I don't see how anybody would want to buy this for the same price with no stock, silencer, or purple sword. I'm glad I got the original. And the stripes on the legs look horrible.

i did even see that till you pointed it out. but yeah it really is. on the plus side, black orion is looking suuhhhh weeeet..

I was hoping they'd fix his cannon arm with this version but it still looks like the weight of it and the design of the joint still cause it to flop down and rest awkwardly at his side pointing inward. That's one of the few issues I have with mine that really bugs me and since they didn't correct it here (or at least it doesn't seem so by looking at the figure in its package and the rather convenient arm curl pose they have him in (yes, I know it's to hide his face, but it conceals the issue I'm referring to as well because it takes advantage of it to get the arm in that position)) so I'll be skipping v2 as well.

He was too G1 anyway... where are all those other 3rd Party Megatrons? God knows I'm not settling for 16-bit Megatron...

Looking at the photo , it looks like they might have made a fix on the cannon ? the hinge on the side is now a grey plastic also it looks like the knees a a little higher up above the shin .

I'm guessing the swirly tramp-stamp is a Reprolabel? Or at least the 'Con logo part of it?

Anyway, this is a mixed bag for me. At a lower price I'd consider it, but it's not like there's not going to be many, many more Megatrons to come down the line.

couple questions:

does anyone know how the mace fits on his hand? is it anything like TFC #6 reissue megatron (which was placed like a handheld gun)?

and i seem to recall this black hegemon being teased with multiple heads. was that true?

He comes with that black helmet head in addition to the original head from the first version.

im usually not into the "perfect representations", but im considering getting hegemon to accompany my mania king. its just a shame that hes taller than MK.
