Starscream, for me, resembles a Chicken.
With the appearance of his beak, circular shape of his head, a broad neck like he is feathered. And the most obvious comes from his personality. He is a coward like ordinary chickens in the world.

Ratchet, for me, is like an old Chinese medicineman.
His colors are both yellow and red, two kind of colors the Chinese always use. There is a kind of vertical mustache on the left and right side of his mouth, like the Chinese old men has. Also, he is very harmonious and peace, besides his medicine technique that reminds me of ancient Chinese acupuncture (when he fixed Bumblebee's vocal with laser).

I wasn't completely clear on how BB's voice was fixed. Did Ratchet do it or did it happen when he touched the Allspark, or maybe was it a combination of both? (Remember Frenzy was completely repaired with a whole new body when he touched the Allspark...).

That's the best thing. There are multiple animals incorporated into those designs and everyone spots different beasts.

I agree with you on Ironhide. Now that you pointed it out, his head seems very reminiscent of the X-Men's Beast (the newer feline version)

And the severed leg?

I always thought that Ops's head looks like a dingo.

That one I always assumed Ratched did, as that repair occurred after the Allspark had already been destroyed, and they still had his severed parts available after the battle to reattach.

How sure are you? Some hooligan could have carted away that bright yellow severed leg. And sell it to the junk shop.
