I was upset by that as well. I think it's because nobody seemed to like that set. Or at least they didn't seem to like it in forums anyway. So they have way too many leftover boxed sets and they want to get rid of those first before they normally sell the non boxed sets. That doesn't explain why the Cybertron's Most Wanted set doesn't have the same stipulation though. Unless they just have less boxed sets left than they do with the Machine Wars set.
I'll keep waiting on those three sets though.

Never understood that rule. It makes sense for a convention if you want to buy an extra set for your friend. But it makes no sense for liquidating old stock. They need to let that go...

Yes, that issue with the chests of both Electrons and Hoist was addressed back in 2013. It was a widespread misassembly, so some instructions were posted back then on how to fix it.Alpha Weltall wrote:So my package came in yesterday. These figures have nice joints on them. Much better than the retail version I have of those molds.
Anyway, my copy of Electro was being a little weird though. I couldn't get the chest to stay where it's supposed to in robot mode. It just kept springing backwards on me. So I opened it up and started playing around with it and ended up moving the small tab with the spring on it 180 degrees around and putting it back in to see if that helped. It did. It no longer clicks when being rotated around for transformation but at least now I can have the torso aligned like I can with my Kup and Smallfoot (Swerve) figures.
Did anyone else have this problem with Electro in which the torso just didn't stay in place in robot mode or was it just mine? Or has this already been addressed years ago when this figure was first released and I just didn't pay attention as I never thought I would own it?

TF_JW wrote:Yeah, there's an internal piece that was put in backwards. You need to unscrew the back and flip the piece.
Here are my instructions on how to fix it:
