You mean all they have is Armada Megs, or are all of them painted green?

The Former. They seemed to have Skipped the silver one and only be selling the Armada one.

I'd like it if they were Normal Megatron's in G2 Green - I expect that will happen at some point somewhere.

No, that isnt possible since they are both shipped in the same crates. However, the ratio has Armada megatron much higher than G1 megatron. And G1 megatron is far more popular so he gets picked up right away making it seem like only the Armada ones are left.

That what I was trying to ascertain did they make him a low pack or did someone put Armada Megs in a single character refresh case and skip the earlier one with both - I recall it being mentioned that there is a case option that is mainly or entirely Armada megs I think Masterforce mentioned they couldn't get Silver Megs easily for example.

Anyway the reason I mentioned it was the TRU I was in last week had 18 Armada ones and zero Silver ones. I have not being paying a lot of attention as there was no way I was ever going to pay £50.00 for either of them when I can get a Japanese one for that.

Everyone I know in the UK who has one got it from some place Like Kapow - so I'm curious if or where they are even out as I am not hearing anyone saying they got one in an actual normal shop in the UK.

More idle curiosity than anything really. It would be nice if TRU had them as they will at least eventually then be on sale if they had them in bulk.

But they seem as rare as Black squirrels in the UK.

When I bought Megs from BBTS, I received one Armada and one G1 in one sealed case from Hasbro. I thought they were a one-to-one pack out, but I don't remember for sure.

I don't like the silver tank. Be it G2 green or Robot Heroes green, I want a proper green camouflage CW Leader Megatron. While I get why Hasbro did Armada (different head, different character), it's sitting on shelves. The good news is a lot of kids are going to be getting a really great toy for the holidays this year. :CON:

Oh there's certainly no denying which is the more popular figure of the assortment. I'm just putting it out there that, as far as anybody's aware, G1 Megs is not being excluded from the UK.

As I said This is UK thing - not a USA thing - Unfortunately I can't recall if the issue Masterforce and or Omegalock was complaining about was the poor economy of them of having to buy to many Aramada megs they would have to sell at a lose, or if they couldn't get him at all for some reason.

Sorry I know I'm not being very helpful here, I was just curious to find out if Megatron was rare or non-existent in the UK - as I've yet to see one that isn't an Armada one anywhere.

I'll do some poking about see what I can find out...

I've seen several unopened cases at local Walmarts. At least in the US they come packed 1 each per case. RAR beat me to the punch that it may not be the same everywhere.

It's like a clone war plague of Megatron in my area.

I don't think Hasbro does different case assortments for different regions, but I may be wrong.

Unfortunately they do.

That is why the UK didn't get Legion AOE/Generations Megatron or Viper (even though he's out in Germany),
I don't know if they skipped a wave with Huffer or if he just got left out too.

Sometimes the UK gets what is essentially the refresh case rather than the original case - and other times we just get odd packing layouts, there has even been the situation where some stores got an entire case of a single character (some sort of error?) this seemed to happen sometimes with RID Drift (Toymasters) and RID warrior Optimus (Sainsburys) for example.

There was also a few months ago the odd situation where a bunch of yellow windowed DOTM Bumblebee's showed up in their own cases.

So no The UK doesn't get the same assortments heck even the numbering is different as they skip stuff and renumber the releases to compensate.

The most recent upset of Europe not getting the same stuff as America was the completely missing Stunticons and AirRaid. (bar Dragstrip).

Which is completely idiotic as it means Hasbro UK can't even use those nice stop motion like / CGI TV adverts as they have Menasor in them.

Well no, if there's precedent for the UK getting different case assortments than the us or even Canada, then that throws my whole assertion out the window.

That was definitely the case in my area when Leader Megs first hit the streets. You were hard pressed to find the G1 deco for the first week or two. He'd be gone as soon as a sighting went up.

Well, I've found that Ultra Magnus, just like Jetfire, is a huge disappointment. :(

Pretty much for the exact same reason: he feels like a voyager class toy. Extremely light, hollow parts , lack of paint apps. Like Jetfire, if I'd only paid $20 for Magnus I'd be happy. But I didn't. I paid full price.

I guess it's just another sign that my days of buying/collecting non masterpiece transformers are coming together a close. :(

I've seen Armada Megatron under £35.00 and Jetfire has been spotted for as low as £20.00 - I would be happy to pay £35.00 for Silver Leader Megatron but he's often £50.00 - and he's not often listed for sale online so even if there is a online store having a sale you still can't actually order him - which is irritating.

As it stands I'm holding off buying Leaders and relying on EBay and sales until they show up cheaper. I already have Citizen Stack so I'm not in a huge hurry for another Magnus just now especially the Hasbro one - the Takara one's mini Alpha-T interests me much more than the Hasbro ones mini-figure does.

As the Hasbro toy is in a way a character than I don't give credence too so he is therefore not going to be selling me with his identity if he's not even a proper Ultra Magnus but some look-alike imposter.

Besides AOE Leader Grimlock put me off Leaders rather a lot too.

I think a toy needs something that makes you think "That's cool" take that Takara remoulded Leader Optimus - it has a nice sword improved articulation but best of all a swappable face gimic that works so well - you have to think "Why didn't someone think of this years ago !"

A toy doesn't have to be 100% fantastic to get your attention if it just has that has something interesting about it.. heck that is why some people like Beast Wars Injector so much as he's a bit bonkers looking.

So I do think Leader Megatron in silver manages to capture your attention more than the green one perhaps - though I do wonder what I will think if they ever decide to make a G2 version of Leader Megatron. I would say that yes in this case though price comes into it rather a lot Leaders seem to go up by another 5.00 with every wave (or at least it seems like that they do).

I wouldn't be as bothered by that if they were bigger - but a modern Leader isn't enourmous - a lot smaller than ROTF Leaders are for example. and even DOTM Sentinel Prime and Ironhide are quite a bit bigger and bulkier than a modern one and though both had issues - I would say if you had the patience with the difficult Transformations then you do get your value for money (especially with HFTD Starscream).

These days the air I get for leaders is that they are Nice enough but I will be very much looking to buy them in a sale. But at least Megatron at Half Price say is worth that - I'm not really sure AOE Grimlock was even worth the £16.99 I saw him at for several months.

I must say that it really doesnt help when an MP the same size as these new leaders is only 15$ more. It really puts the value into perspective.

I just don't get being disappointed in Jetfire. Was it perfect, no, was it awesome, hell yes. $20? In 2015? When many places are now charging $20 for a deluxe? You have unrealistic expectations.
