I don't like to easily see all the robot junk behind the windows, so tint and/or frost the glass please, unless we're talking non earth alt modes. So in 30 years when little kids are having found memories of Siege will they get MPs?

You know, I just realized something about MP-44 Prime. The situation of whether or not you'd buy him is exactly like buying the latest iPhone model despite you already having a really good one. You buy it because you really want to, and because you can afford it. Maybe the new advancements are what begs you to upgrade, even though the older one still holds up quite well. But the people who are going to buy the new one are buying it because they can afford it and they want to, while others will stick with MP-10/MP-01 because they don't feel the need to upgrade and/or they can't afford it. But like Apple will put out new iPhones every year, HasTak will put out new Optimus Primes. And just like Apple, HasTak knows people will rush to buy them, and HasTak will get their money. It's the product/consumer market trend that will always work forever.

Much debate has been had regarding the upcoming MP-44 Optimus Prime, and today we have something that may help you make your decision regarding the controversial collectible. Ripped from the Transformers Generations 2019 book, we have a translation of an article devoted to Masterpiece's latest offering, courtesy of Jeremy Barlow of Soundwaves Oblivion.

Though nothing present in the translation is necessarily new or revolutionary, it could prove valuable to some still on the fence in helping decide whether they want to indulge in this divisive figure.

On a related note, it has come to our attention that the Previews World Listing for MP-44 does not mention the three mini-figures included with the figure proper. It is important to make clear that all regions will receive the same version of the figure with the same accessories, as has not always been true in the past.

The joy of your favourite Transformer also being the most iconic/popular one -- he gets a figure in every toyline, and usually the first one to get made! And if the first toy is no longer up to standard he gets made again!

Almost makes me want make an Optimus Prime themed shelf.

Personally I have an Optimus shelf (Well, it's more of a Primes shelf) because of the shear number of figures of him I have.

Wow, no waist turn in the transformation just for cartoon accuracy? That explains why the legs do so much panel work, they have to turn themselves around!

I want this... but now that I'm budgeting... I can't just yet. $400+ for a toy... eesh

Yeah a lot of time villains don’t even get toys in Japan or they’re very few.

Transformers is a true oddity when it comes to that, for sure. Villains only get toys when they're notable, look like the hero, or are grunts.

A better comparison is we have Eleven Seekers Starscreams, "Two" Shockwaves, Two (technically three) Megatron's and No Galvatron.

I've mentioned before, the lack of love for the '86 Movie (and beyond) characters is just sad.

Within that context, I don't see Hasbro doing anything different to Takara regarding The Movie.

I don't see [Hasbro Exclusive] MP Springer, Arcee, Kup, Blurr, Wheelie, Wreck-Gar, Cyclonus, Armada or Scourge and the Sweeps? To date when it comes to the MP Line, I see Hasbro adhering to the same "Optimus Prime for every exhaust port" fetish that Takara is choking the rest of the lines with.

The thing with Wheelie though is he is often the same size as Spike and/or Daniel in their exo-suits. I mean what could they even charge for an MP that small on his own? That's why I think it would make sense for him to be paired up with someone bigger, as the regular human figures were.
