He didn't stay on Earth. He got back to Cybertron and became Thrust.

If the archaeologist had found Inferno's head, that would've been funny too.

Waspinator may have made it back to cybertron to becom BM Thrust but can you imagine how many parts of him must have been littering the landscape of that region of Earth?

They'll be finding pieces of him for ages. 8-}
