All work and no play makes Shockwave go batsh*t crazy, apparently

Imagining all of it in Corey Burton's voice just makes it that much funnier.

This now my most favorite mosaic ever.

How about doing something on Megatron's dreams during that period?

Am I the only one that disliked this? It went completely against the character's cold and calculating personality and turned him into a 14 year old emo child.

This is the worst, laziest mosaic I've ever seen on this site. Clearly the pictures are from the cartoon and the ridiculous dialog is just pasted in. Not to mention this is very out of character for Shockwave. It just annoys me that this joke of a mosaic was even allowed to be put up.

I dont usually post about these, but:

Recycled art? Really? How was this allowed?

And really bad writing...

Shockwave is Tom Cruise crazy.

I liked this. Yes, it uses copy/pasted art, but as far as the writing? It is implying that Shockwave is insane. Since when was insanity pleasant to look at or read? I found this one far more depressing than I did funny; the fact that it is so far out of character for Shockwave only serves to make it worse because it shows that even the coldest, most merciless people can succumb to isolation if given enough time.

Yes this mosaic goes against everying we know about ol one eye and it is just drag and drop art but I still got a pretty good laugh at it... HUUUUUUGS

Comments like these make me wonder whether or not you guys are aware of Shockwave's cartoon potrayal or unaware of the humor of the thing. Because that's the only way I can get what you're saying.

Plus it explains all those drones in The Revenge of Bruticus, I also don't get the "14 year old emo child" analogy.

Ok maybe lazy since it's pictures from the cartoon...but worst? The TFA StarScream one a few weeks ago wasn't too great, definitely not better than this, and personally I didn't like the one about Arcee(where his/her name was Arc or something and he got killed and rebuilt into her).

Shockwave going insane, interesting concept. Shockwave would be the last bot i would think could go insane so when he does you know all hope is lost, even if the insanity only lasts for a few cycles. I like the use of stills from the show, some might say its lazy but if you think about it you have to hunt down each picture and make sure its all the same quality so it really isnt. Wouldnt mind seeing more done like this.

The screen caps were cheap, and I hope that doesn't start a trend, but their use here did drive home the fact that cartoon-universe Shockwave really did NOTHING for 4 million years, unintentionally one of the funniest things about G1, and therefore ripe for mining. As much depth as Corey Burton gave the part, Sunbow's purple Galactic Man does seem like a joke if you think about his actions too much (and if there's any fan-base that would...)

Make mine Marvel Shockwave any day! Being buried in a tar pit under an avalanche in the Savage Land was a much better excuse for 50,000 vorns of inactivity, and as soon a he got out, he wasted the last 6 Autobots and usurped Megatron's command, living up to the reputation of the cold, logical killing machine described in his tech spec.

I don't hate this mosaic, I think it has a kooky teenage feel to it, which some may find amusing, but I can see why some people wouldn't find it funny, it's kinda specific humour (yeah I understand it's about shockwave going insane).

What I do find a bit baffling, is that the TFA:Starscream Mosaic you mentioned, I reworked into something a bit "better" (relative term, I think it's better anyway...), and while reworking is not something the Mosaic project takes on board (I requested making it an official Mosaic and was knocked back *waa*), it still feels like a slap in the face to me, when I put a fair bit of effort into a Mosaic, that admittedly was not mine in the first place, and this pretty casual effort gets a look in. Guess quality isn't really a factor when there's a process to follow. Dissapointing to say the least.

I realise I largely have myself to blame for thinking I could rework someone else's work, and think that it would get published, yeah futile, but I consider my version of the Mosaic almost completely different from the original to the point where it's become it's own entity. And Ok, I didn't follow the usual rules of submission, my bad, but I encourage you to follow the links above and decide for yourself whether I have a reason to feel ripped off, maybe I don't.

Do I sound bitter? I am a bit, but more than that, I'm just disappointed.

Not trying to start something, but I realise that it might, don't get mad everyone! Can we just be constructive/civil!?
