The stories are not official canon, except where noted. These stories are the result of Transformers enthusiasts taking the time out of their busy days to contribute to a universe they love. I love how the Rainmakers look so, for lack of a better term, grunt-like. They look like soldiers, not characters. It actually makes them more interesting because you don't know what they're thinking. Whereas with Starscream you always know what he's thinking, "How can I try overthrow Megatron today?". The Rainmakers could be thinking, "Ugh, that energon burrito isn't sitting right. Oh no! Where's the Lil' Tetra Jets' Room?!" or "If I transfer my credits to a long term mutual fund, I could save 18% in taxes" or "Only 2 days till retirement! Oh wait, what's that? Autobots incoming! Ahhh! Ouch! Blarg! Dead."

Or maybe that's just me reading way too much into things again. :lol:

Very well done Mosaic. I love the look of stark terror and desperation captured on the face of the Autobot at the moment of deactivation in the last frame. Kinda makes for a warm, tingly feeling deep inside my spark. This story also makes me realize that there really isn't that much difference between Shockwave and the vast majority of politicians and lawyers walking the face of the Earth today. I think Shockwave missed his true calling.

Nice to see Shockwave trying to figure logic in what he would see as an illogical action. Fits in nicely in the Marvel G1, IMO.

You mean Sunstorm? Eh. He was cool, but I also think he got over-hyped when they actually used him in the comics.

The Rainmakers are a good example of 'just doing my job' Decepticons. They're soldiers and that's it. Even the bit of personifying Acid Storm got is just 'career soldier'.
