Transformers Mosaic: "Prime Factors - Part Two."

Postby Richter » Fri Feb 18, 2011 1:35 am

The Universe of the Transformers is vast, and populated by many characters. Their universe is a large tapestry, made up of the stories and points of view of countless experiences that serve the larger whole.

These are some of those stories. This is:

Very cool to see how Optimus Primal's interaction with the Matrix touched both his and Prime's life cycles.

I love the balance you create between the two 'Optimi'. Not having been a big fan of "Beast Machines", I never really noticed the similarities in the end of that series and the G1 movie until the final panels of this mosaic where Primal repeats Prime's words from before his final battle with Megatron - in which they both essentially died - and in the end Primal dies to stop 'his' Megatron.
Current Status: Anticipating a possible absence from HMW for a few days after Thanksgiving due to family reasons.

Just as impressed with this one as I was with Part 1. In my opinion, this is the direction they should have gone when they did the Spotlight: Optimus Prime comic and should have made it a double size issue as well to thoroughly go into all iterations of him. Good Job with this one! :APPLAUSE: :APPLAUSE: :APPLAUSE:

Cool, but... why's the picture so small?

Also:
"He was just an archivist, record-keeper." What? No he wasn't. He was a dock-worker at a storage yard. Those image of Optimus Prime are referring to his last stand in the G1 movie, right? Well, then this would be the G1 cartoon Optimus who was a dock-worker. The one from The War Withn was a data archivist, but this clearly isn't the Dreamwave G1. (The one from Exodus was neither: he was a data clerk. Alpha Trion was the archivist there).

I like how in part 1, Prime knows the future, thanks to Primal, but stills goes to Autobot City because he knows it's his destiny, and in part 2, Primal knows that Prime was scared, and that they both came from humble beginnings.

I do agree with another poster that, imo, this one isn't as good as the first part, but both are leaps and bounds above most of the mosaics.
