Duke of Luns wrote:
hopefully we don't get a season one of TF prime released in stores. then get denied a season 2 like they did with animated season 3.
I kind of doubt that would happen. I don't know the details, but since Hasbro owns the Hub they shouldn't have any problem getting DVD's out for their shows.
I believe the reason Season 3 of Animated has yet to make it out is because Cartoon Network holds some of the rights for DVD distribution, and either they can't come to an agreement or they don't want too.
If I got anything wrong, feel free to correct me!

I don't see this happening.
Shout will most likely distribute the DVD's rights to TF Prime's cartoon series in America.
Looking back at previous TF cartoons series that were released by shout.
Shout will most likely chose to release the TF Prime cartoon series 26 epidodes at a time & only charge around $19.99

Yeah but there is always a chance they will release two different versions
Hasbro: knowing them they will release them in small cheap single DVD boxes, and they should be… *using calculator* around eight bucks
Shout: Knowing them they will release them in a big box set for each season (or twin volumes)

most of the time future solid gueeses can be made by examing past experiences.
Here's a few past experiences that shout did with the transformers cartoons on DVD'S
Transformers TF G-1 USA Season one. had 13 episodes & shout chose to release the whole season's worth of 13 episodes.
Transformers TF G-1 USA Season 2. this season 2 had over 52 cartoon episodes. So shout decided to seperate it into 2 parts. each part having 26 episodes.
Transformers TF G-1 USA Season 3 & 4,season 3 & 4 had 29 or more episodes. shout chose to release this on a DVD pack including season 3 & 4 episodes on it.
Shout didn't divide the first season of beastwars that had 26 episodes into 2 parts. shout released all 26 episodes of BW season on one DVD release.
Shout is going to be releasing BW seasons 2 & 3 as one DVD release that will have 26 episodes. shout isn't going to be releasing season 2 of bw seperate & not releasing season 3 of bw seperate.
For the first japanese TF G-1 headmasters series that has about 35 or more episodes. shout isn't doing volumes of 8 or less. shout is releasing the whole 35 episode on one DVD release package.
With all this info I just typed above. I highly doubt shout will be releasing volumes of TF Prime season one divided into 3 volumes of 8 or 9 episodes. Because shout & hasbro do this for the fans first & foremost not for the younger kiddies.
Shout isn't like Rhino where they over charge for their DVD's. Shout tries to keep it's prices as low as possible.
going by past experiences with shout's TF dvd'S. Shout charges $19.99 for 26 episodes worth of transformers cartoons.
I highly doubt shout will sit their & divide 26 TF Prime cartoon episodes by 3 & do 3 volumes/parts. because that would mean shout would be charging around $6.68 for each TF Prime volume/part consisting of 8 or 9 cartoon episodes. SORRY,I DON'T SEE THIS HAPPENING.
MY SOLID GUEESES:"WHAT I CAN SEE HAPPENING BY SHOUT", for the TF Prime cartoon series getting released on dvd's. (1) shout releases 26 episodes of TF Prime by the season. (2)or shout releases TF prime by the ultimate series. all the episodes in one huge box set.
(2a)I honestly don't think TF Prime will get a ultimate complete box set. because the generation one USA TF cartoon series was special & iconic. stuff can only merit a ultimate complete box set if it has retailers support & fan support. MOST FANS WILL NOT WAIT FOR THE ULTIMATE COMPLETE box set if the individual seasons are released first. most fans will get impatient & buy up the individual TF Prime seasons as soon as they hit stores. most fans don't love the TF cartoons that much that they'll feel the need to have both the individual TF Prime seasons & then the ultimate complete box set. SHOUT KNOWS this that's why they won't bother releasing a ultimate complete box set of TF prime if they already released the individual seasons of TF Prime's cartoons to retailers first.
Well, Shout! is still going to release complete series boxed sets of both Beast Wars and The Headmasters/Masterforce/Victory in addition to/after the individual season releases of each.deathy wrote:(2a)I honestly don't think TF Prime will get a ultimate complete box set. because the generation one USA TF cartoon series was special & iconic. stuff can only merit a ultimate complete box set if it has retailers support & fan support.
