I'm an audience from Indonesia. In its first opening day, thousands of local audience flocked into local theatres just to watch ROTF. They waited in patience for more than 2-3 hours before the show to buy the tickets. The lines were very long in all theatres, especially in theatres with good sound systems, where they could reach more than 50 meters. I could tell than the hype for ROTF here is so powerful either, than even The Dark Knight or Spiderman 3 would beg for this kind of hype. I was lucky to arrive at the theatres 2 hours before the show, so when I bought the ticket, I could pick the right seat to enjoy the movie. Within 20 minutes later, the whole auditoriums/studios were filled with audiences.
And so, I think this movie is better than the first, because I enjoyed it more than the first.
More actions, less drama. More robots, less humans. More humors, more thrills. Like my kind of movie.
But I had to agree that Devastator is the biggest let-down in this movie.
I didn't like its role. It dies extremely easy. It doesn't have combat sequences.
Today is the second day of the show. Local theatres opened much more auditoriums/studios for ROTF, trashing other local and western movies as well. In some theatres in Jakarta, they opened all auditoriums/studios they have only for ROTF, although yesterday they only opened 2 or 3 auditoriums/studios out of 4 for ROTF. Most of my friends love this movie more than the first.

Re: Transformers Revenge of the Fallen WorldWide Release Tonight
- Motto: "Build a Giant Robot? Sure it's safe, I mean...it's not like two Stars from a childhood tv show are going to hotwire it and take over the world....right?"
SPOILERS
I was entertained. Prime using Jetfire as armor was pretty great. If only the camera shots weren't so close as so I could enjoy what I was looking at. Sideways is my favorite new character to be introduced into the film series. Megatron was a great character and I'm happy he was developed more so.
I hate the twins. I really do, and I'm sad that they got more screen time and lines then characters like Soundwave or Sideways or Jolt.
And there were characters I just caught glimpses of, Jolt being one. I think I only saw him twice and I was curious as to this bot and how he would perform.
Soundwave just floated in space.....this was sad. And his voice though neat wasn't treated to give it a robotic feel as the original.
Devastator.....wasn't the Constructicons? I, just don't know how to process this. For me that was the whole appeal of the constructicons.....they combined to form Devastator. If they didn't combine....why not just scan themselves to be other military vehicles? The toy now makes more sense however. But Devastator was one of the bigger disappointments.
And the Fallen, he wasn't on fire......and he didn't transform but instead wielded a magic staff like some sort of wizard?
Well, at the least things blew up.
Thats my rant. There's so much more but I'm sure everyone has more then covered all the bases.
