Anyway, the complaint about the treatment of decepticons is a hard one to solve as on the big screen, people want to see the bad guys dealt with (minor villains may escape but we want to see justice dealt); it won't do any good to see the bad guys just retreat like the g1 toon.

Yes but in the first film case starscream is the only survivor as everyone else is killed (aside from Barricade who never even fights in Misson city)

the second, the main villain is killed again with large con casualties.

The fourth only galvatron survived, and the main villain dead. So in these cases I think justice was dealt

as for the whole Megatron/Galvatron thing... I was thinking , he might want a new body with a spark, though not having a spark (ie not being able to die) I would think would have some advantages...but who knows at this point. As long as his new body is more like an actual Transformer, and they ditch that "Transformium" pixilated crap.

Calling it right now, Galvatron/Megatron makes a second body (whatever this teaser is) and downloads himself into it, naming himself Megatron but with Galvatron it's double trouble! Reminds me of the Iso-Didact and the Ur-Didact from Halo.

Or it could be the live-action version of Beast Wars Megatron, as Va'al has mentioned. *shrug*

Out of all the things you make up this is one of the dumbest lies ever.

If the movies had only one amazing thing about them it would be the sound and music design the voice actors are great and understandable unless they are speaking Cybertronian which we the audience are not supposed to understand and it still sounds great.

General audiences usually only know the names Optimus Prime, Bubmblebee, and Megatron, so Galvatron might be considered too confusing. Keeping the trademark for Megatron available is also a possibility for the name change.

I personally doubt Paramount design and Hasbro design are coordinating things at this stage.
Especially for movie marketing. The image the FB page used is probably just put together with Paint for the promotional side.

Seriously, though -- I much prefer the first movie's design for Megatron over this one. Much more menacing, and you can see more Megatron influences. Even though the second movie had something that resembled a Fusion Cannon, the first movie was much cooler. And he also had a reason to be able to fly seeing as he was a jet. XD But this version is... Well, it just looks weird, and I usually like the Bay designs. Maybe it's the fact that he has friggin' mandibles instead of a normal face.

(Also, as a side note, I just realized that ROTF Megatron basically turns into the Landmaster from Star Fox. They're both flying tanks.)

Plus Aoe Galvatron was just a clone in a sense so we could have an idw situation and have both Megatron and Galvatron.

if ya think about it thats not a million miles away from what the headmasters in the comic did (which was touched upon again in the Regeneration 1 comic)

i gotta say.

this is the first time ive given up on the movies. i got used to bay arse raping the universe i love and could put up with the previous movies by considering them their own thing but after age of extiction ive had enough.

the man is retreading stuff he's done time and time again now. i dont think i can take another freeway set peice. and im sick to death of the movieverse "style". with marvel being able to convert their characters so well to the big screen now it does my head in to see transformers suffering the visual and characteristic excesses of bay.

put simply i want someone besides prime to look and sound like theyre bloody supposed to.

at this stage i really wish hasbro would just cut a deal with marvel studios to get them to handle the franchise. thered be a nice symmetry to that considering how the whole universe got off the ground in the first place.

till then i expect more "squashed snot" megatron visuals and the like to crush my spirit.
