Hi, im new to seibertron.com forums, the film was greate wasnt it. but what i want to ask is if you think they will make a second transformers movie, or do you know if they are actually planning one.

well welcome to seibertron..and to answer yur question..yes, tf2 has the green light so its being made.

Yes, it has been greenlit. And its probably being filmed now, or will be soon. (Rumor has it that the first two films and half of the third were written at the same time)

They are not filming it right now, as it doesn't have a script or a director yet.

It was originally something I read on TS (lost the link, sorry) which said that they had written too much material for the first script and it had be cut down from the pitch draft to the first draft before they could even begin editing it to the final draft. The section removed was planned to be used for the second film, but it was still too long and they cut off enough material for half of a three-hour long movie, which supposedly became half of the third script.

I don't know where you heard that rumor from, but I wouldn't believe it if I were you. It sounds too ,much like George Lucas' discussion of how he wrote the SW original trilogy, and had to break it down into three movies because it was too big for one. Sound familiar?

Either way, Soundwave... This ought to be good. I see no reason why the producers/ directors would have to deviate from his original voice.

The TF2 update link a few posts back says that Michael Bay is considering an aircraft carrier character? I'm not really sure what I think of that. While the idea is interesting, it's just seems like too much. Dang, that'd would be a transformer that's nearly a mile high. Sheesh.

Speaking of soundwave, I really don't know why Blackout wasn't just called soundwave. He is the end result of a charachter that started out with soundwave anyway and he even kind of looks like him, and the name "soundwave" seems somewhat fitting for a helicopter anyway. Soundwave had Ravage, blackout has scorponok. As far as soundwave goes, blackout was perfect in TF1 and its a shame they killed him off..

Come to think of it, I'm pretty upset they killed off nearly all the decepticons, including megatron. If theres anything I'm hoping for TF2 is that Megatron isn't dead for good. That was a mistake IMO. You wouldn't kill off Magneto in the first X-men movie would you? THEN WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU KILL OFF MEGATRON IN THE FIRST TF MOVIE!

sorry but it did aggravate me. Hopefully he'll comeback as either Galvatron, or simply Megatron again, maybe this time with an earth-like alt mode.

Theres a lot they could do, perhaps a new cube, etc. Maybe bring the Quints in as a the creater of these cubes. We'll see, but I'm going to be upset if Megatron is dead for good. Just like Venom in Spiderman 3 he kind of got a raw deal. 20 minutes of screen time and he gets killed off.

Mark my words friend, Megatron will be back. And he will have 90% of the allspark power in his chest to show for it. Bay isn't that silly to destroy all the Decepticons. And Megatron is THE villain, Decepticons are impossible to defeat forever.

I am hoping there will be a stealth bomber Decepticon and a aircraft carrier autobot (cough Omega supreme cough).

The Decepticon aircraft carrier is Tidal Wave and the Autobot one is a triple-charger named Broadside.

Uh no. What I meant was that there is an Autobot who can become an aircraft carrier, however obscure. I think the one you call Omega Supreme is actually Fort Max and he only turns into HALF an aircraft carrier in the Energon?/Cyberton? series.

Broadside's a Triple Charger which can turn into some sort of aircraft and aircraft carrier. Kind of like Springer.

Hey, do you fancy Bay might include some of the Triple Chargers? It'd be great to see a TF having more than one alt mode but I wonder if ILM can do it.

Yeah but, I meant that I want Omega Supreme to BE the aircraft carrier in the next movie. I think that's realistic and fitting for an earth disguise for Omega Supreme. And a Decepticon to be the stealth bomber - perhaps a resurrected Megatron.

Triple changers are pretty cool. It'll be difficult; probably can only pull it off on one or two characters.
