I admit, apart from astrotrain, I can't really think of any repaint potential among the reveals :-?

Well I'll keep hoping the original rumor is truth, but honestly with some retooling it wouldn't be THAT bad. Soundwave deserves his own mold, for sure. Heck! So does Blaster.

There's definitely the Beast Wars Gator Prime idea, but that's too Cluby for the main line, I think.

I could be down for that, but megs would be really similar - color-wise - to skullcruncher...

I thought megaligator referred to the purple repaint but don't quote me on that.

I know there was an in universe reason why BW Megs took the name but I'd like to see him in IDW and would like to see him with a different, but awesome name.

Each name was for both of their respective decos.

Essentially, the Japanese bio card wrote the gator form as a temporary form Megs took during a jungle fight (same for Convoy's Convobat form).

And in the original Kenner bios/mini-comic that came before the cartoon, it was Megs's first form that he had prior to his T-Rex upgrade (same with Primal's bat form before his gorilla upgrade).

More recently, one of the Uprising text stories had Megalligator as his own character, but as a minor background character only mentioned as a namedrop of a group of Preds forced to fight in the Games.
