ouch! compain to hasbro and try to get them to send you the right hands.... im pretty sure they got tons of parts in some corner in their factory. it doesnt hurt to give it a try.... and be polite. then if being polite doesnt work, raise hell.... id be upset if that happened to me.... that kinda sucks though. good luck.

So you think I should complain to Hasbro even though I bought it from BBTS? I'm not really sure what to do as I've never got a faulty TF before.

And the fact I'm on the other side of the world doesn't help.

well yea, because it is a hasbro product and they made it and packed it.... its hasbro's quality control line thats not supposed to let things like that happen. if i bought a figure from wal mart and its missing its weapon, im pretty sure it wasnt wal mart who took the weapon out in the first place. it doesnt matter where you bought your figure. but your best bet is to contact hasbro some way and tell them your problem. its not your fault, you shouldnt have to pay for an extra hand. im not saying that this will work, but its worth a try, especially since hasbro are the makers and they are the ones who packaged your toy. like i said before, not sure it will work, but its worth a try. good luck.
Try asking BBTS first. They were pretty good to me when my MP Starscream came without fingers on one hand. If it's a standard issue with the toy, they'll likely work with you.

just got classics BB! (*gasp* after all these time???)

wait, lemme explain: i loved BB, and as a fan i shoulda bought him right away, right?

well, thing is, before the movie line came out there were already overstocks of BBs, SSs, Rodimuses, Astrotrains, you know, all those easy to find classics... so i thought that i should wait for the clearance sale so that i can save on him, no matter how long the date might be (as of now, i don't know yet when's the clearance sale of our local toy retail store).

but when i dropped by earlier today, during lunch break from work, i noticed that there was only ONE mirage left. seeing that they might not restock the Classics line anymore, i bought it. back at work, i hurriedly opened it (away from the eyes of my prying co-workers...THEY'LL NEVER UNDERSTAND US hehe...) and to my disappointment, there was a defect in his chest (the seams at the sides don't fit correctly - there's a massive gap in the air intakes).

good thing that the toy store accepts returns - so immediately after work, i returned it. as there was no more mirage to change it to, i decided to go with classics BB.

boy, was i NOT DISAPPOINTED! he's just...how do i put it? almost perfect. sigh. i'm lovin' G1 BB again. nice take for today!

Dude, jealous of the Classic BB find! As much as I love the movie version, I would love the classic version just as much!

Picked up target scouts Clocker and Hardtop, and deluxe Wreckage from K-Mart.

I went to a total of 8 stores and only came back with 3 things. I cant wait till these damn resets are done.

There might still be a few stray shipments poping up here & there, distribution centers getting rid of excess stock, etc., but usually when one line is replaced by another in the stores, it's because they stopped making the previous one.

don't fret dude, i'm pretty sure you'll get your hands on them, sooner or later. best thing to do now is to scout online, they might have classics in clearance because of the demand for the movie line. like i said, classic BB is a CLASSIC. go get 'im. 8)

Try asking BBTS first. They were pretty good to me when my MP Starscream came without fingers on one hand. If it's a standard issue with the toy, they'll likely work with you.

Well I emailed BBTS and got a reply, she said they'll either get me a right fist or give me $15 store credit... I took the fist!

I'm SO pleased, I guess they'll whip one off one of their second hand Magnus' or a junker or something.

Also bought a Cybertron Primus today, he is EPIC - I love his alt mode, it's a proper sphere unlike that ugly piece of junk, Unicron.

Primus was like 45% off so it was a good deal.

Congrats on getting that sorted out. :) BBTS seems like a really good store, for the most part. Do they take PayPal, and do they ship to Canada?

My Games of Deception box arrived today and I am happy to report that the closest to a production error with these guys was Dirge being packaged with his launchers on the wrong wings.

Bugbite - Meh, he's a Gobot. The only really pointless part of the set and blatant filler. With the extra slot for a deluxe con I'd have put in an anime coloured Astrotrain, but hey that's just me. Bumblebee remains a good mould and I'm not about to part with him and break up the full set of 07 exclusives but he doesn't do much for me. He's not exactly the reason that ANYONE splashed out for this set though is he?

Dirge - I'm one of the few for whom having a Classics version of Dirge means more to me than the other Seekers in the set. The G1 version was one of my first 3 TFs back in 85 along with Inferno and the red feet version of Prime, certainly my first con and the only Seeker that I had as a kid. Do I mind the wings being the same as Ramjet's? Not at all. The two of them being based off the same mould makes them excellent wingmen for Thrust who, despite my predaliction for Dirge, is blatantly the coolest looking of the coneheads. If I'd gone with the kitbash route to finish my Seekers as opposed to this set I think I would have done a straight repaint anyway and only messed with the wings on Thrust.

Dreadwind - Nice version of the character although I agree with comments from Ryan and others that the mould would have been better suited to Darkwing. The reworked head is really nice, it's just a shame that the helmet won't store in robot mode. He will be displayed bareheaded anyway. Fans of the UK comic are probably more aware of Dreadwind as a character since he was the host of the letters page for a couple of years. Replies to readers were certainly morose and sarcastic during those days and they're still a pleasure to peruse to this day. Whoever was writing those responses had the character down pat and was obviously having fun with it.

Thrust - Very nice. Makes a pleasant change from exclusives just having a head remould since the wing design was always the big visual grab for Thrust. If I had one complaint here it would be that the jet mode seems a bit more bulky than the other Seekers as a result of the wings, but he'll be displayed in bot mode anyway and that's a winner.

Thundercracker - Nice G1 stylings, only problems are those encountered already with Starscream and Skywarp as regards the launchers restricting posability. I know that they CAN be hand held but Seekers wear their guns on their arms dammit! I would have liked to see the new bio touch on his lack of commitment to the Decepticon cause but the bios are just a nice extra anyway, certainly not an essential part of my enjoyment of the set.

Overall 9/10, and that point only gets knocked off grudgingly because Bugbite is just so out of place among the others. Alright maybe that's only worth half a point, 9.5.

edit - Just posed Bugbite holding Dreadwind's rifle and it suits him surprisingly well.
