Ultimate Bumblebee
I don't know whether this is news or not (if old, please lock it) but the new BigBadToyStore email mentions Ultimate Bumblebee:
"Items to be listed then will include what should be one of the most complex and expensive Hasbro Transformers since Fort Max - the Ultimate Bumblebee Camaro Concept figure has an MSRP of $89.99 and will feature robotic animatronix."
Which seems to confirm speculation that he will be the 08 Camaro, will have 'animatronic' features, and apparently (considering they make note of the Camaro specifically) does indeed transform.

Yeah we knew about Ultimate Bimblebee but its nice to have a price. And they are comparing him to Fortress Maximus wow, he's gonna be large.

He's a Hasbro designed Masterpiece figure. Should be interesting to see how complicated he'll be. I've always wanted a large scale Transformer that took a ton of time and effort to transform. I'm getting my wish.

hmmmm it will certainly be interesting to see how Hasbro stacks up against Takara/Tomy on the Masterpiece Scale, if they do it right, this may be the line that takes off in the US for High end collectibles.. but then again i ain't holding my Breath.. it is after all "HASBRO" and they have been very disappointing at times...

As Primal once said. Die-cast construction....It's a lost art. I'd rather have an insanely detailed plastic figure that can actually stand under it's own power than have one bogged down by useless metal that would only serve to weaken joints.

Bumblebee was my favorite movie design.
A couple hours ago, when looking at some of the movie designs I thought to myself "It'd be cool, but these designs can't be put exactly as they are into toys."
I really hope this figure proves me wrong. I'll be saving my money until then.

QFT
Honestly, what IS the obsecion with die-cast? YES a lot og the earlier G1 stuff was die-cast, and YES the ones that had both die-cast and none die-cast veriants were better with metal, BUT you can do so much more with plastic. That is why they dont use die-cast much any more.
It's like railways, YES, steam trains are a lot more interesting and exciting that deisels and electrics, but that dosnt mean that they are of any practical use anymore.
And as long as it looks ok, I wanna get Ultimate Bumbles.
