varied off colored tophs of animal hair in the shape of there faction signia. The mximals could tend to have a lighter off color shading while the predacons should boast the darker of color. The exception to this rule should be those like Tigertron (light grey) or Ravage (dark purple) due to there inherent color scheme. This idea could easily be incorperated into the marketable toy line.Nemesis Primal wrote:And if you HAVE to put faction symbols where they'll be visible on an organic alt mode, at least make them less glaring... The new paint jobs for the BW 10th anniversary reissues were very nice except for the faction symbols being too obvious on the organic beast modes. The only one whose insignia was hidden in beast mode was Rattrap, and he was a Transmetal and it wouldn't have mattered as much! Seriously, they could have made Cheetor's Maximal insignia black so it would fit in with his spots... A big Autobot insignia on a car is less glaring, since you can paint a car any way you want. You can't paint a lion or t-rex, though, certainly not safely.

either way...yeah, i like the oil tanker design idea
i'll probably work on that...
AxiomScion wrote:oh i was thinking fleshy dinobots as in there G1 forms looking more like the real thing and transforming nearly the same way as the originals do. A grey fleshy Grimlock with a tanned underhide should still look like his G1 counterpart if they followed close to his transformation sequence. Think of it as Dinobots for the Masterpiece/Classics line.
Then there BW counterparts would have something to fight

Point taken, but very much not what I meant. I mean a human as an actual alt-mode, resulting in a robot with human kibble once it's transformed. Mainly because the idea is weird enough to be amusing.

But how would that work? how would a humanoid robot transform into a human? Would you have some bizzare way of turning the whole robot inside out to reveal clothes and fake hair on the inside?

I hadn't really thought about that, but when I mentioned the idea, I knew already that I wasn't the first one to think of this. Dave Van Domelin has already followed the idea through to its conclusion.
Nice shirt, Dave.

Is it so different to the various incarnations of Optimus Primal, or Optimus Minor?

Do I have to throw a little rubber slug at you?
