symbiote against symbiote, i may have to go for the move verse. Topher Grace is a great actor, and the movie personality goes a long way, but he is no were near the physical build of main stream Eddie Brock.
Movie Venom was only arround for all of a good week too. If he had half the record of comic Venom, this might be a compitition.

Personality? Brock/Venom in the movie is the most underdeveloped character in the Spider-man movies.
Anyway, I definitely agree with the second half of the above quote. Comic Venom would completely annihilate the Movie Pretender, and probably eats his brain as well.

Which one? 616 Eddie, or Ultimate Eddie?
Because I think they made it more than clear that he's based on Ultimate Eddie. (At least in design)
