this question gets asked very frequenly, so some people are going to post out of annoyance. Don't take it personally ... you're a newb, so it's not too bad.


first time it was asked this week to my knowledge, so it's all good. at least things are slowing down with this topic.

I somehow feel that it will get worse before it gets better though ... as time closes on the release date.

Anyone posting out of annoyance, just remember that the search function doesn't work still and some newbs haven't caught onto that quite yet.

Has somebody the pictue of Starscream's toy plate handy? The one where the date reads November 2007?

Oh it's not so much of a panic, really. I mean I know it's coming (got that directly from Hasbro itself), but it is a bit of a concern if it happens to be a Black Friday item.

It's a pure pain in the neck to wait in line for the 6:00 AM start, plus you have to fight the crowds (people fistfought over a 14in. TV at my hometown WM about three years ago. Two women, no less.) plus they might only have a small amount and if TFs continue to be as hot as people predict, a lot of parents are going to say "Grab it, they'll want it because it's a TransFormer."

I've seen that happen too. The exclusive Landfill for $15.00, a couple years back...had a full pallet, down to about twenty of 'em at 11:30 that morning. (And that was before the big popularity surge they're having today.)

I guess we'll soon find out. Either way, he's mine and I will body check anyone in my way.

I thought it was always going to be nov that he was going to be released but they could do co-inside with movie release next tuesday.

That seems to be the train of thought with a lot of people. Even Action-H-Q said theirs will ship mid-October.

I think someone even said there was a 10/24 release date attached to it, but I'm not sure anyone provided any proof either.

It sucks though, because he's one great looking figure and patience might be a virtue, but I'm less than virtuous in that department. lol

sorry, my bad... but what's worse is that the images of the bot outside of the box are prototypes of him, with excessive weathering on the body of the plane... the one in the box, which will be the one we will see at Wal-Mart will have less of that crap on him, if not maybe all of it gone.. so in other words, I Want him Now!!!!!

I really don't like the battle damage. I hope the Takara version doesn't have it, otherwise the soon to be mine Skywarp will have to live without his commander.

Well I am officially sold on this figure. I just hope that I can get this figure. I only have the 20th Anniversary Op with repro smokestacks so I really want another MP figure for Op to stand with. I just hope that we all as a collector community can find atleast 1.

I think its gonna be the same situation with the Jumbo Starscream from Transformers Cybertron series.. the backl of the box had him all decked out with excessive detailing, while the actual figure came out quite clean...

If the one in the box is the end product, there will be weathering. While there are some greyish spots on him, those might be explained by shadows due to packing, but take a look at his null rays.
His weapons are very dirty, which would not look very good next to my Prime.

I didn't realise Arkeville would be painted properly (or better, anyway).

rats, this baby would be a thousand times better without the smoke stains. still likin' it though.

I always like the battle damage on mp figures it allows me to imagen he was just in the big battle for autobot city in the g1 movie.

yeah, anything we do discuss about the battle damage or weathering is purely speculation, so i agree for us to wait and see what comes out of the packaging.. personally, i'm gonna try to find the one with the least amount of weathering.. i'm not a fan of big black splotches on my toys..

I will get him, but I hope I don't have to work on Black Friday if thats when he'll be sold.

Someone said that he is in limited quantity, and once he's gone' he's gone. I don't necessarily think thats true even if he's sold on Black Friday, as Hasbro will more than likely make a second batch like Takara did with MP Megatron if he ends up selling like the proverbial hotcakes.

Remember, Hasbro wants to make money. Any high priced limited figure sold by somebody else on E-bay to make wads of cash, is money they are not getting. Hasbro will make a second batch if he proves very profitable, because they will ride it out for as long as possible. And I am betting he WILL be profitable. They are not just giving him to Wal-Mart remember. BBTS might have him too.

Unless I'm mistaken however and they are just getting Takara's.
