I'm a little disappointed that Waspinator has a bit of a fiddly transformation. The legs don't really "tab" securely into the forearms in beast mode, nor do the forearms stay in place, even with the tiny pegs pushed into the holes of the inner "spine" piece. Is it a tolerance issue with the plastic used? Shadow Panther is great, but I knew I would love it because I already love the mold as Cheetor.Rodimus Prime wrote:I got Waspinator yesterday and mine doesn't want to stay tabbed at the waist. Sounds like it might be a common problem. Otherwise it's a pretty good figure.william-james88 wrote:My waspinator doesntbtab securely in alt mide neitherKing Kuuga wrote:I got Waspinator today as well. Found a healthy supply of Waves 3 and 4 deluxes at a target on the way back from seeing a movie. Passed on Shadow Panther and Rhinox. No Tigatron yet. I actually had to go back and put the first Waspinator I grabbed back on the peg when I noticed the waist was untabbed and grabbed the other one. Came home, messed with it, and found out that's a pretty easy point of separation. Why universe hate Waspinator indeed.
I saw Waspy a few times last week, but kept passing. I have the T-30 version and all this feedback reinforces my decision to skip him in Kingdom.
Whew, for once I successfully resisted the pull of plastic crack.
The robot waist tab doesn't seem to lock, but I don't know how that would be an issue unless you're trying to have him in-flight suspended by the torso instead of by the waist, but maybe I need to test that.
For the alt-mode, my arms lock securely and only pop out if I'm using too much force in the transformation. I can't tell if the top of the robot legs are locked to the abdomen, but the tabs in the lower legs don't seem to be designed to lock to the arms, just to slot in. At any rate, it took some fiddling, but my alt-mode is very secure, and I can handle the bug from any position and it stays in place.
my waspy has none of these problems. well, the waist tab could be tighter, but otherwise everything locks into place securely. for people that are having issues with the robot arms tabbing in, make sure you rotate his hands the right way. they wont fit right if you dont, which will keep the legs from tabbing in correctly.
