original sin wrote:Deadpool's face doesn't seem scarred or disfigured at all. Maybe Logan has a hand...errr claw.. in that somewhere in the movie. Unless the holographic image device they're talking about is what he's using in that picture.

That sounds about right. There could be a scene in the movie where his holographic disguise malfunctions, showing his disfigurement.
original sin wrote:I'm not letting myself be to let down by that mainly because Ryan Reynolds is almost perfect for Deadpool. The only guy I'd choose over him would be Jeremy Piven.

Overcracker wrote:That has already been debunked, as a packaging error.
Weapon XI is not Deadpool. Weapon XI is just one of the other test subjects.
In images from the movie, Weapon XI is closer to what in the comic books would be the character Mimic. He has Logan's Claws and Cyclops Optic Blasts, amongst his powers. None of which have ever been part of Deadpool
However, whether or not Reynolds will be scarred in the movie remains unconfirmed.
Reynolds is Wade Wilson hence Deadpool. his stunt double just happens to take on another job as Weapon XI.
Me, Grimlock! wrote:I'm not an expert on Deadpool, but since this is an origin movie, maybe he gets scarred midway through? I seem to remember him entering the Weapon X program because he was scarred, but maybe this photo shows Wilson prior to being put in the program.

That's supposedly Weapon XI, who may be the movie version of Mimic, an old X-Men villain.
Though I think his looks might be pulling from Exiles Morph, Chameleon, or even, given the lack of a mouth, the Super-Adaptoid.
Edit: Though it occurs to me that the wires, the pale skin, the red eyes, and the apparent ability to survive without ingesting material food might imply a particular infamous vampiric cyborg super-soldier antagonist from Wolverine's past, though I thought we'd already seen the character in another form.

Blastback wrote:Reynolds himself has confirmed that it is Deadpool on MTV splashpage. He's also said that he sees him not as Deadpool himself, but as the creature that eventually becomes Deadpool.

Wait, do you mean that Reynolds is "the creature that eventually becomes Deadpool" (a.k.a. Wade Wilson), or do you mean that the pale mouthless wire-covered thing is "the creature that eventually becomes Deadpool"?

Well he's both. Check out http://www.deadpoolbugle.com/. It's got a video interview with Reynolds.
