Its not like a battle is going to happen right away. So I'm just wondering what they'd be doing during downtime.

I'm not so sure about where Optimus can go. Any number of reasons actually. But those flames on him need to go because it attracts attention already.

Bumblebee is staying with Sam. No doubt about that.

I can see Ratchet making use of his alt-mode. It lets him be the medic he is and study humans at the same time.

I actually like the idea of Ironhide with the Lennox family. Two army veterans and all. But I wonder what he'd look like with a pink babyseat...

I don't think Jazz is coming back.

I would like to see them have a base of some sort - maybe something the government secretly funded. They need some place to study the piece of Allspark and possibly try to bring back Jazz...

The writers should have the Ark(currently in Orbit) shot down by the Decepticons and crash into a mountain.

That'd make an awesome moment for the trailer. It'd be the real "We're back" moment.

Maybe that's what Starscream does on his way out.

Bumblebee is busy with Sam and Mikela all checking under each others hoods...

Ratchet is going to meet up with Patch Adams and be the "clown" ambulance...

Ironhide has taken up skeet shooting with VeeP Dick Cheney...

Jazz actually is working with those wheelchair people you see in the commercials during the "Price is Right"

The sequel is gonna be killer!!

This would be alot easier if the Ark and the Nemesis were mentioned, then both factions would have places to crash.

But I suppose the Bots will lie low for a while until Screamer shows up again.

New Crews would have been sent out to get footage and would be broadcasting live, people would be recording things with their cell phones, bits and pieces of robot would be lying all over the place, well over 10,000 live witness. A ton of collateral damage. Not to mention a truely unknown number of new Tfs created. No way can they possibly cover up stuff now. What they will do is damage control and try and keep the population from going into a panic.

You are thinking about the flick too much. It is a Michael Bay picture.

prolly be a 10 yrs later scene by the time movie 2 comes out.... So it all gets skipped.

BUT NO WORRIES! There'll be "inbetween" novels, games, and comic books galore to explain what happened after the 1st movie ended. XP

There are some fanfics out there that make a very interesting theory on what happens after.

im sure they will just build a base and hang out....im also thinking they will stay in contact with the army and prez at all time.

You forget, the Decepticons planted that virus that knocked out all communications, plus when they were showing the Navy dumping Megatron and the other dead Decepticons into the ocean, the voice over states that the black out would make it eaiser to contian the stories so the rest of the world never finds out.

Thats a very good point. With all communications dead it'd be realtively easy to explain away what happened as a terrorist attack or whatever - no more than a few hundred people would have directly witnessed it... would still be a huge cover up but I can see it being possible, especially as a joint effort between various governments...

Meanwhile, the Autobots will continue their new favorite hobby - Watching humans mate.

1. Starscream brings reinforcements from other parts of the universe. They land on Earth and take the form of the Constructicons and form Devastator.

2. They go after Megs from the trench he was dumped in and he is rebuilt into Galvatron with the aid of the aforementioned Constructicons.

3. They go out and attack the Autobot City Base that they have built outside Washington DC.

3. Bumblebee goes out to space to find reinforcements but is unsuccessful. However, OP hatches a plan to use the leftover piece of the Allspark he took out of Megs chest to bring new Earth based creations to life called the DINOBOTS!

4. Huge battles between the two forces occurs spanning the entire East Coast. Many cities are left devastated and Glavatron's new mission is the ultimate extinction of humankind and revenge against the Autobots.

5. Eventually Devastator pairs off against the Dinobots. The new secret weapon that OP has kept close to his chest is revealed in this final battle after many warriors are lost on both sides. The Dinobots combine to form DINOSAUR!

6. Decepticons are defeated and Galvatron is imprisoned on the moon alongside the remaining Decepticons under very tight security.

7. End of film sees a security guard pacing through the moon prison complex. Suddenly Frenzy appears out of nowhere and taps into the computer system and starts shutting down all the secrity protocols.

TF THE MOVIE 3 begins...

During the interim period, Starscream declares himself the new Decepticon leader. Megatron gets revived somehow, says "I am back Starscream, I will take back my leadership position now." Unfortunately Starscream wants to keep this postion, and challenges Megatron for the right to remain leader. Starscream has guys supporting him, so does Megatron, and with two Decepticons vying for the leadership postion, a Decepticon civil war breaks out. Starscream doesn't back down because he thinks Megatron is weak because he got beaten by a "flesh creature," and Megatron simply wants to reclaim his title.
