Powerlinking could have been done better. Sure, it's fun to powerlink Autobots together, but most combinations don't look very good. Also, it limited some posebility because they had to incorperate powerlinking.
Still, my all time favorite gimmick(if you can call it that), is hiding weapons in alt. mode, or incorperating them. Really good idea that helps prevent part loss.
