oh man, i miss reading Drizzt and the Icewind Dale companions. read thru the original Trilogy, finished about 1-2 of Cleric Quintet, never got the other Drizzt books, then trudged again through Silent Blade, Spine of the World and Servant of the Shard. i really dunno what happened to Wulfgar nor if Cattie-Brie (what an awful name!) and Drizzt are still together...man, i just feel out of sync with Forgotten Realms lore nowadays. 8)

I don't read too many stories. All my fantasy stuff comes from Graphic Novels (just finished the entire Lucifer series by vertigo, good stuff). Most of my reading is non-fiction on mythology, nature, and ancient civilizations.

I am reading one book during my lunch breaks though. it's called the Ambler warning but I forget the author. It's the guy who did the Bourne Identity.

Same here, except replace "South" with "Doctor Who" and "Park" with "and Death Note."

But I'm slowly making my way through Harry Potter 7. I also have Splinter Cell: Checkmate, but so far, I don't like it as much as the other two Splinter Cell books.

How can you even surf the net without knowing the ending to the seveth book?

Oh, but I do! I went to Wikipedia the day it came out, just because A) I didn't have the book yet, and B) i really really wanted to know.

Also, it helps that with almost every book I've read, I tend to look at the last few pages, and find out how it ends. Same with movies. And games.

And life itself.

Man if I accidentally see the last page while looking at ads in the back of the book I get mad and can't forget what it says and it sticks till the end.I would never do it on purpose.

Yes. Thank you.

I'm reading A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking, and A Demon Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark by Carl Sagan.

I'm also slowly but surely making my way through Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. On book 6 now.

Lovecraft is good, but he "meanders" sometimes.

A Brief History of Time is good, a lot easier to read than The History of Time. I love the analogy about the space rocket rising off of the Earth's surface speeding away from the source of time(for the moment) and as the rocket speeds away, the passenger ages less than the person left on the planet. The History of Time made that so much harder to understand.

Currently, I am working on the The Dark Tower series form Stephen King. I'm on book V, one more to go. I have to find out what happens to Roland and his Ka-tet.

Next on the burner after this series is Watership Down. I made a mistake and read the second book about the collected legends and far history of the rabbits, so now I have to read their first adventure.

My wife has some books she wants me to read, but I have to finish the ones mentioned first.

Two more to go.

Such a great series. At first. Wolves of the Calla actually turned me off from the series. Such a cool, spooky concept. Twins keep getting split up and the missing one is returned all retarded, and there's this graveyard of old train cars because of it. But a picture spoiled the most important part of the whole damn story, another picture spoiled what the wolves are, and oh yeah, it had to be the most rushed and anti-climatic final battle I've ever read. Just a warning.

And if artwork is going to spoil the story, it better be damn good, like it makes Frank Frazetta look like Pokemon screenshots. It was not even close to that good.

If Song of Susannah is cooler, I'll think about it. I hear you do in fact get to see what's on the other end of that traintrack that returns the retarded children. If that's the case, and it's badass, then I'll read them.

Just finished reading Terry Brook's "Children Of Armaggeddon". I wasn't sure how Brooks would deal with science fiction, but this novel was a great read, and it does have some fantasy aspects to it.
