I got Fallout 3 for the PC today, and my life got screwed up again. I tried to install the game on my computer, the damn thing doesn't work on windows 7. I try to go in and fix it so that it does. And every time I use that program (Notepad++), it says something about "check if file is open in another program" WTF is that!? Every time I try to use that program it says that!!! Then, I try to save it again and accidentally deleted the game's engine off my computer!!! This dumb ass computer! Every time I try to save something on that program, it never works! I tried to save it again and it says I need administrator permission! I'm on the administrator thing, and nothing is working!!! WTF am I supposed to do? Is my computer screwed, or is there a way to get it back? I am so pissed at this computer, you piece of ****! I tried everything and it still doesn't work! I waited so long to get this, and life comes around and takes a crap in my freaking face! Why? I'm getting tired of this crap happening to me all the damn time!!! :BANG_HEAD: why can't anything ever work normally!? Instead, everything I do somehow gets ruined or destroyed.
I Am.

Just reinstall it. That's really all you have to do. If that doesn't work, then you might have to reinstall Windows. If, as you say, nothing's working and it's crapping out, then it might be more than the game itself.

How do I re install it? But even if I do reinstall it, it won't fix the problem with me not being able to play it on Windows 7. (BTW: This is only my second game I've tried to play on a PC.)

Windows 7 and Vista have what's known as a compatibility mode. The compatibility mode will allow 7 to adjust to the differences. As for reinstallation, if you bought it on Steam, you can always redownload it and it'll automatically reinstall the files that are missing and/or corrupted.

If you bought it on a DVD, just put the disc in the drive, it'll autoplay, and from there you can use the menu to reinstall the game. It shouldn't be too difficult. Ask your parents for help if they can.

There are A LOT of people who have the same problems with the same game on windows 7. The only solution is giving me an error every time I try it, though.

Never mind! I think I fixed it. I hope so at least. I uninstalled it, and re installed it, and I figured out how to save things into that program! Which means I can mod Mass Effect 2 now! But, with Fallout, I'll try to bring it up tomorrow and see how it works, I just don't feel like doing it tonight. THX anyway.
