what do you think of the Bakugans?
remind you of ROCKLORDS in anyway?

What’s a Bakugan?

A fancy game of marbles with cards is the best way to describe it. Here is a link:

What does this topic have to do with transformers? And bakugan is another crappy cartoon thats a rip off of yugio which is a rip off of pokemon etc. IMO its stupid. Just another fad that will die out and no one will remeber.

Technically, the marbles do transform.

My 5 year old has a few. He likes them, but that is about the target age.

Close; Yu-Gi-Oh started as a manga, then became a game itself, while Pokemon was a game that became everything else.

I don't feel right knowing this.

But yeah, this does look like total crap. Beyblade was about the limit of failed attempts at replicating Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon's success. But you know dumb 10 year olds; They'll latch onto anything with good enough PR and marketing.

Actually this was moved to GD, but the thread was originally started in the Toy’s forum.

Show is a rip off of bayblades, one of the weakest shows ever, right after the english dub of yugioh.

What else is there? Like I said, Yu-Gi-Oh started as a manga before it was turned into a card game.

And banning anime is just one step closer to becoming an isolationist country.

There’s a lot, no, a ton of anime that’s not based off something and banning it wouldn’t be any good, really, first they came for the anime fans and I didn’t say anything cause I wasn’t a anime fan, then they came for the collectors and I didn’t say anything cause I wasn’t a collector and then they came for me and no one was left was left to speak up for me.

The government has better things to do than stick they’re nose in my hobbies.

Me watching anime does not harm anyone, there would be no point in banning it.

Dudes, it's a cartoon. How you guy can get Government issues from it, well, is beyond me.

It's so gratifying to know that everyone is so open minded and tolerant in this day and age. None of that bias and prejudice here, that's for sure.

Though I have never seen Bakugan and probably never will, the credits narrator on Transformers Animated says Bakugan is awesome, kind of like Bees, only cooler.

Personally I'm not cool with Bees, I think Bees should be banned.

It'd be great for the fansubbing business, though.

Just a show that's basicly a half hour commercial for a card game that wouldn't sell without the additional exposure of a animatied show.

Wow, someone here is certainly narrow minded. Next he'll be telling us we have to listen to his music and that free will should be banned too. Anime is awesome, a lot of US cartoons suck donkey noodles because they have no story to them or are full of fart jokes. There is some bad anime I admit, like Boboboobobobobobobobobobobobobobobobo which the person who created it should be hung from the highest tree, but just because YOU don't like a Country doesn't mean you decide what's good and what's bad. If you want something banned, ban yourself.

There are a few good cartoons left. There's Storm Hawks, which is just all around good, and Chowder which, despite looking dumb, is actually really clever, and has Dana "Master Shake" Snyder. Also, Aqua Teen Hunger Force. And Transformers Animated is extremely good. (It's like they're apologizing for the Unicron trilogy!)

I watched one ep. Here's why...the transforming orbs.

You see I have 5 out of 6 of the japanese Beast Wars transforming Eggbots, which actually had roots in one of the pre-TF lines like Diaclone and Microman. So I am interested in those pieces of it, the card game, etc., I could care less about. The only toys I have seen are the little plastic figures that represent the cards, and the battle arena which comes with two of the orbs, but I have not bought it yet, nor have I seen the transforming orbs packaged separately.
