You might be forgetting Red Alert (shot in the back by Skywarp in a deleted scene), Dirge, Thrust and Ramjet being eaten by Unicron. They obviously thought his weak point was in his mouth and flew right in.

The begining of season 3 when the animation went down hill.

Since I don't have anything retarded to say here, I'll post what I think was actually one of the worst moments of legitimate TF writing:

Rhinox of his own accord, buying into Megatron's "Utopia" in Beast Machines

This is one of the rare instances where I believe there is too much background material of Rhinox being a dedicated force for awesome to do this ****. Rhinox becoming "Bad" was done by the writers for the sole purpose of "turning" a character.

Killing Wheeljack (off screen and all!)

Killing Windcharger.

Killing Skywarp.

Killing Thundercracker.

Killing Starscream.

Killing Megatron.

Killing Bombshell.

And not raising Prime in a simlar fashion.

Letting Hot Rod take over.

Letting Daniel exist.

Letting the Junkions turn out to be of no use whatsoever to the general momentum of the movie.

Letting Carnage in C-Minor happen.

Letting Sixshot get barely three minutes of screen time.

Same with Punch/Counterpunch.

Reminding us that the entire TF television series was simply to promote toys.

Prime killing himself over a video game.

Dark Voyage of the Beast Wars series. That episode was so poorly written. (In contrast, the best non-core episode was Gorilla Warfare).

Tigerhawk's brief existence.

The unfortunate circumstance in which Mainframe didn't get to use their planned ending for Beast Wars (involving the coneheads).

Bob Skir.

Beast Machines. All of it.

Turning Primal into a spiritual leader.

Turning Rattrap into a whiney p***y with no weapons.

Nightscream.

Botanica.

Botanica and Rattrap.

The clear intention for Thrust to be Silverbolt and suddenly claiming he was Waspinator as if to introduce a twist that has more evidence supporting the contrary.

Rhinox's transformation into a bad guy. Why? WHY?

The whole technorganic theme. Interesting idea. Shoulda been used in another show. This is about robots in a civil war. Not robots in a green house.

Not choosing Transtech.

Choosing RID.

RID.

Armada.

Getting the names of minicons constantly mixed up.

Bad dubbing.

Bad animation.

Stock footage.

And no end of the above in sight.

Energon.

AWFUL.

Bad dubbing.

Cybertron.

Releasing Classics Starscream, Classics Skywarp, but no Thundercracker without paying stupid money to BotCon.

Prime saying 'My Bad'

Bumblebee urinating.

Megan Fox.

Plot holes you could drive a tankor drone through.

The masturbation gag.

Sub-par quality toys that kept breaking.

Transformers Animated's animation.

The tragic combination of good story, bad design.

Sari.

Sari being in control of that key.

Soundwave's much anticipated but (personally) disappointing return and exit.

Making us wait for Animated's toyline.

Not releasing Universe/Classics 2.0 until aaaages off.

and Repaints.

All those damn repaints.

Beast Machines, the whole F'n series. Turning Optimus Primal from an awesome character into a damn wimp. Taking away all their Transmetal bodies and making them look like animals with prosthetic body parts. Giving Megatron Primal's old body. WTF? thats just completely stupid. worst part was Rhinox becoming s total asshole as Tankor. Were the writers getting stoned and then just seeing what **** they could get away with?

for me, it was the 1986 movie...it killed the series in a large city. Right after the movie, the series was taken off the air. well...welcome to the reason of my 21 year absence and now I am playing catch-up.

The worst moment in TF history for me was only getting four episodes in season four. As corny as they were, they were some of my favorites.

Season four was a glorified toy commercial, but it did have a lot of potential with all of the new characters - Sixshot, the Decepticon clones, Punch/Counterpunch, Fort Max, Scorponok and all of the others who became Headmasters and Targetmasters. Sure, we can all go and watch Headmasters, but I actually prefer the American style animation and action over the Japanese.

1.) "Rebirth"

2.) Cancelling the series after that. (Talk about going out with a pbbbbt!)

3.) Destroying the toy line afterwards with cheapo micro masters, and action masters

4.) The dumbass data cube in the G2 cartoon

5.) The constant reuse of old names for totally dissimilar new characters (in form, personality, or both), beginning with Beast Wars and continuing ad nauseum

6.) Not having the foresight to trademark the names of G1 characers, such as Hot Rod, Bluestreak, Jazz, etc. so having to use ridiculous work-arounds on the reissues

7.) Not releasing the Megatron reissue in the US. (Screw the anti-gun laws - paint the barrel orange if you have to) For that matter, whatever happened to the Soundwave reissue?

8.) Telling the fans the new movie would be G1, then giving us the Michael Bay version. Thanks for bringing back Peter Cullen, and at least getting the Witwicky name right. Beyond that, could have been a live action version of Armada for all the similarities. Re: #5

You do realise that this doesn't make sense? Names are used on dissimilar characters to allow Hasbro to retain the copyright on them.
