So how people can question the Quintesons as being the forgers is kinda baffling.
"baffling" really??? You find it "baffling" that some people doubt that Quintesons the forgers of the original autobots?

maybe I missed the episodes that showed the quints as trustworthy and great tellers of truth.

With everything we saw about the Quints in the g toon, is it hard for you to believe that they found robotic life on cybertron and enslaved it?
So, yeah, if it wasn't the Quintessons who made the first Cybertronians, then the first Matrix bearer, along with all of his successors, is the one who is lying.

Well, in honesty, the Matrix bearer and lineage of Primes being liars or deceivers wouldn't be too far off from the way the recent comics have been portraying them. By "recent," I'm talking about pretty much everything in the IDW run, or at very least the Nova Prime-inclusive or referential parts.
I know you guys are talking G1, but you guys are also trying to force the Covenant of Primus into things, so it would appear this is a continuity-open conversation.

Who's trying to force the Covenant into this? The OP tried, but nobody else did. In fact we brig it up as being separate from the G1 toon, since it really only fits Aligned.

Take it easy, I didn't mean anything by it. Maybe just from my perspective, but it looks like this thread is taking various continuities and then trying to make them line up with the Covenant. I merely made that last statement in the event the Covenant doesn't work with the IDW stuff for whatever reason.

The vast majority of post in this thread have been how you shouldn't mix the Covenant with different continuities so I really don't see how you can get that impression.

Ok, fine. I'm not sure why you're taking a simple and non-confrontational comment so hard or personally or whatever the issue for you is.
SOMEONE, and even you have stated this, brought up the Covenant of Primus. It was explained by someone else that the Covenant worked or didn't work with that continuity. I brought up the IDW comics, which are a different continuity than the one the Covenant apparently functions in. I don't know anything about the Covenant, so I think I was trying to concede that the Covenant may cancel out what I'd said about IDW.
I suppose I 'got that impression' from posts I read in the thread. I'm sorry it ruined the thread, apparently.
