what if hasbro decided to make cybertron to primus, & planet eater unicron for trasnformer kreos size of of star wars deathstar they dont have to to have bot modes could be planets only

It would be cool to see that's for sure. It's not outside the realm of possibility.

It would be possible but not practical.

-Hasbro's Kre-O initial pricing is just them straight fishing for money. They want to get the same dollars that Lego gets, but their bricks are subpar quality and overall toy engineering is laughable. I don't see something as big as Unicron and Primus can survive being on shelfspace before going down to discount prices

-I don't see Kre-O surviving. They've lasted longer than BTR but at least in the sample size that I've seen, they've just been on mad discount.

I'd get in to the fact that Kre-O is non-transformable but since you said they'd only be planet mode, then as I said prior, possible, but the way Hasbro is managing Kre-O, I just don't see it happening.

While the first wave of Kreo stuff didn't go over super well, it seemed like the Quest for Energon sets sold out pretty quickly.

Though I think this would be soo cool I really don't see it happening. Don't get me wrong Kreos are cool and all but I'm still skeptical as to their staying power. These new Beast Hunters Kreo sets aren't all that great. For the life of me I still don't understand why we haven't seen anymore G1-esque sets like Soundwave w/minions, Shockwave, Thundercracker/Skywarp (Starscream repaints of course), and of course some Dinobots. Seems to me they'd be in better position had they done some of these by now. Focusing on TF Prime really wasn't the way to go- especially without any potentially cool sets like maybe an Arcee, Bulkhead, or Dreadwing. All this to say if they ever did make a Kreo Cybertron set that was in scale with Kreons that would be amazing. Imagine a Death Star-sized Cybertron to interact with the Kreo Enterprise and Kreo GI Joes. It'd be SWEET!

That's yet to be seen, they haven't been on shelves very long, so who knows how they'll sell.

If I had to guess, I'd say it was because the first wave of them completely bombed. Although the Quest for Energon sets seemed to have sold pretty well. The why, I suspect, is because the Quest for Energon sets largely focused on current characters. Knock Out with Wheeljack, the obligatory Bumblebee set, the very awesome Optimus vs. Megatron set, and even those nice little sets with three generikreons vs. a named character kreon (though I did see some Barricade sets on clearance, I never really saw the CJ set).

The apparent sales of the QfE sets would seem to disagree with you. I would wager that the Beast Hunter sets will probably do well, too, for the reason I've already said.

Agreed, that would be quite awesome.

Well.....Throwing scale out the window....as usual with hasbro. (lets be honest, Even the toy Unicron isn't in scale with anything) I'd be happy with just a head mold/lego set of Unicron....give me three lil kreons to go with it:

1. Cyclonus
2. Rodimus
3. Ghost of Starscream (clear kreon)

make it into a little playset (I guess?) that perhaps opens up and has a few levels sure....why not.

But aside from that I don't see it selling huge outside the collectors.

Kre-o doesn't sell to well around my area. Stuff just sits on the shelf going nowhere. Even when it was BOGOFree at my Toys R Us, they barely moved.

Kreons, on the other hand, fly off the shelves. The Cycle Chase and Decepticon Ambush sets disappeared. Blind packs evaporated.

I, for one, would never buy a Cybertron or Unicron set...but I plan on buying all of Wave 2 of the micro-changers, assuming my local rivals don't beat me to the box.

Kre o sells decently around here. At least initially it does. But the more expensive sets do sit longer then not. If Hasbro were watching..... I'd recommend doing more of the $12 or less sets. Like the ambush set you mentioned and the blind packs. Even the combiners are great, but it seems like anything over $12-15 is a safe bet to be able to get at discount later.

Hasbro should ditch Kre-O building sets and just make more Kreons and Micro-Changers.

Agreed.

Make Unicron and Primus for the little guys, and I'll be all over it. Now, I'm not sure about everywhere else in the world, but over in my neck of the woods, the sets are being clearanced out so they can be rid of, yet the micro changers are hard to keep on the shelves. I, personally, love the micro changers. Just picked up Devastator and Predaking and love those little guys too. I hope Hasbro continues the micros.......
