Man did I feel old when many of the posters mistook Mcfarlane toys for Seth Mcfarlane. Is spawn that forgotten?

regardless, the QC on spawn figs is phenomenal, it really forced all the other manufacturers to step up the quality of their figs. They have progressed into little more than models at this point, but once they were full on action figures.

I would be into it, letting Todd design his dark and twisted versions of Prime and Megs. I dont know what the logistics of that kind of merger would be though, but if anyone is willing to experiment with their winning formula, its hasbro.

I have quite a lot of things from Mc Farlane, but eventually I stopped buying them. There's a few issues.

For the most part, there's no possibility. There were a few exceptions where they did have joints hidden under furs and stuff, but for the most part there isn't. This limits how much fun it is to pose them.

The biggest issue, though, is if you open them they basically fall apart over time. I had one figure I barely touched and parts of him just started coming down. Almost any time you have one accidently drop on the floor you can expect something may have come off. I've seen figures in the store, still in the package that had parts broken off.

Actually both of these was a big part of me stopping collecting those figures. That, and they seemed to run out of ideas. How many figures of Spawn in a different pose do we need? The dragon series was kind of cool at first...

Along the lines of just another Spawn figure with small changes, I sometimes wonder how many times we'll be buying the same Starscream figure or Prime until we get tired of it.

News to me, but I never really collected Spawn toys past the first few waves when they were much more like action figures and not models.

If that is true though, Hasbro has Mcfarlane beat for longevity, how many of us still have our original Optimus Primes from 1984? Mine still looks pretty great, seeing as I used to drive it down the basement stairs as a kid.

If they could combine the aesthetic QC of Mcfarlane and the playability and longevity of Hasbro then we would really be onto something.

i don't think he has a direct hand in designing the toys anymore. but that would be the bees knees.

Prolly not. Just out of curiosity, have 2 toy companies ever
joined to create something similar to this particular subject? Usually I see that when another toy company is making a certain toy, its because they have obtained the rights. Which means the original company can no longer create those toys. I.E. Halo, Ghostbusters, etc.

BTW, 200th post!!!

You know Ive actually had this same thought a million and one times!! That would be the coolest F'ing collabo in the world IMO with the detaling that comes with Mcfarlanes toys and the poseability of the TF line OMG I.. I cant... fathom....... :BOOM: :BOOM: :BOOM: Mcfarlanes toy line is what got me into collecting action figures in the first place and Ive always loved the TFs kudos to you for speaking up about your thoughts.
