What is your earliest memory of transformers?

There is more to Transformers than movies, cartoons, comics and toys. Discuss anything else Transformers here.

Hmmm...

Playing with my brother's Brawn figure back when the family had a station wagon. Yep, pretty sure that's my earliest memory. I was like two or three maybe? And that particular Brawn has been lost to the ages.

Other early memories include:

Getting Overbite at around the same age, when my parents came home from Phar-Mor(a pharmacy store that's long closed).

Renting Transformer movies(included individual episodes) from Phar-Mor. My sister said I rented Transformers the Movie itself every other week or so for awhile(and Land Before Time too). Watching Heavy Metal War as well, cause the fight(or rather, concept/image of them fighitng) between the Dinobots and Devastator was burned pretty heavily into my memory, and I never got to see it again till Rhino reissued the two-episodes per tape VHS's.

Getting the tape "Divide and Conquer" from my mom(I remember the box art).

Opening up Action Master Starscream on my brother's birthday(he would have been about fifteen or so I'd say). It was the only time I remember getting something on someone else's birthday. I guess she didn't want me to be left out.

Opening up a shoebox with Powermaster Prime inside, minus most of the accessories, but it had the head and trailer, so I didn't care. I figured out for myself years later that they probably found it at a yard sale.

One of my brother's friends gave me a decent condition Red Alert, and I remember taking it from his house(he also had the G.I. Joe Night Raven, but I never got that). The Red Alert broke after awhile, and I still have it, armless and all.

Getting Micromaster Greasepit and his gas station while on vacation.

My brother cleaning out our closet(we shared a room till I was eight), and finding Wheelie, and giving him to me.

I think that's about it up to when I was about five or six,and it's probably not in chronological order either. I remember more stuff than I thought!

Mine is that the man from Sky came to install our dish when an episode of transformers was on the TV so I had to miss most of it

Well, I watched the TV show pilot the day it aired. Before that though I collected Diaclone toys (Blue Trailbreaker and Black Ironhide), and bafore that, back in the 1976, I collected a lot of Micronauts figures, which were the US versions of Micromen, the line that gave us the Mini-Bots, Megatron, Perceptor, Soundwave and others. Amazing that I was getting them as gifts them when I was 4 years old, considering how non-child friendly they would be considered today, all tiny-pegs and spring-loaded missiles.

My earliest TF memory was watching Reberth Pt.1 with my sister(who got me into Transformers) and for some reason thinking that Point Blank was Hot Rod's brother.

My first memory of the show...I had 2 or 3 of the toys when I saw there was a cartoon for them coming out...I HAD to see it! I saw the G1 pilot and wsas hooked....saw all of those, saw the animated movie in the theatre like 30 times, bought each and every one of the G1 toys...I watched every episode of Beast Wars (ex-husband taped them all, which I ended up getting in the divorce), and that was all...all the series that came after Beast Wars I checked out, but didn't much care for...Ahh....those were the days!

getting a G1 Slingshot from my uncle. i was a TF n00b back then, didn't know the extra part formed the hand of a larger robot...sadly, that slingshot was lost in time and mind.

oh, and Friday evenings watching GI Joe and the 3rd season of TF reruns with my cousins. 8)

I remember watching the Go-Bots (if they count). Years later I saw BW (by "years later" I mean 3-4 years later).

My earliest memory of the transformers is seeing Mirage for sale at a local pharmacy. Later, I saw them on the Bozo show on WGN; ironically, the episode featured mirage spying on the decepticons. I had a difficult time watching the show, because if I stayed to watch it in the morning, it meant I would be late for school.

earliest memory(1984)...renting the original VHS tape, which had all 3 of the pilot episodes. Then I found it on one of the local TV stations.

In terms of toys, I got my first TF figure, which I still have...Skywarp.

1984/85 when it first aired on TV in the UK. I remember setting the video to record it due to me being at school at the time.
Then managed to get my mum to buy me Starscream then Soundwave then Optimus...

I was a Robotech fan before a TF fan. I would get up at 5am to watch the sporadic episodes that some local TV station would play of Robotech. The in 1984 (4th grade for me) I saw the pilot episode after school and was instantly hooked.
Unfortuntely, I never got a toy until much much later because I was told I was too old for toys and when I asked the boys at recess if I could play Transformers with them (I could do an awesome Starscream impression) I was told explicitly that 'girls can't play Transformers'

My very first memory was being in a toy store (can't remember which one) and I was checking out the Go-bots. My eyes wondered down the aisle a little and I spotted a box on a lower shelf. I picked it up and it said "Transformers" on the front. It was Trailbreaker - my first TF. My mom got it for me and that was the beginning of a very looooong obsession.

One time was when I heard the Beast Wars song play, and I watched all these robot animals fight each other.

If anything, I remembered when Dinobot was messing with Rattrap.

And theeeennn... I don't remember which show this was, but I remember Hot Rod (2d animated TF show - I'm guessing Armada) transforming and bouncing off the center divider of freeway and speeding away. x3 Thats my first memory of that. hehe

Lets see... Go-Bots came out and my folks got me a transforming gun for Christmas. Not Go-Bots or Transformers but a cool toy anyways, (made noises) Later would see "Shockwave" on a cartoon that looked just like my gun. A different company than hasbro had marketed the toy and hasbro had bought the use of it after it was in stores. I was able to brag that I had Shockwave before anyone else.

It's a pity Go-bots didn't survive the showdown. They do have a few nice bots.
