What TF's do you absolutely detest?

Discuss anything about the Transformers cartoons and comics! You can discuss anything from G1 to Cybertron as well as the comics from Marvel, Dreamwave, IDW and more!

Weapon: Flame-Thrower
Definitely G1 Galvatron (cartoon)

They took what could've been a badass character from the movie and turned him into a whiny wuss.

Daniel

Too bad HE didn't fall into Unicrons acid vat, exo-suit and all.

Robot Master

A human claiming to control all Transformers is a bit much. Megatron should have stomped him like a bug.

Skywarp was cooler, anyway, and had a better color scheme.
I agree with the 1-sidedness and fangirls, but I kinda like him, I prefer 'warp and 'cracker though.

I dislike:
Prime
Prowl
Brawn
Soundwave(What is so damn appealing about this guy?)
Shockwave
Computron and it's parts
Scourge
Devestator
Megatron
Wheeljack
Jazz
Rumble
Frenzy
Reflector

Energon Ironhide. :-x Why does wheelie still get bashed when this guy exists?

"Prowl: Hardly did anything in the show, and came off as a pompous ass in the Marvel comic (at least, to me)"

Yes Simon Furman really ignored Prowl's tech specs. Totally ignored his logical, almost infinite patience. I totally agree that he was a whiney wuss in the later comics.

However, I liked his earlier incarnation in the the Budiansky comics when Prime's head was captured by Shockwave.

Again, Furman is starting to turn Prowl whiney and even Hot rod outranks him in the IDW comics. I still can't decide if I like or hate this new comic series but the return of whiney Prowl will not help it's case.

I also agree with the cartoon direction of Galvatron. Turning him from the movie badass into a mental incompetent in the animated series. Then again, I never held the cartoon in high regard. The Marvel comics are my canon.

On topic: I absolutely loathe Rattrap and Quickstrike.

Alpha Trion only serves to show how crap the cartoon could get.

Kup

Marvel Ratbat

Arcee

Black Arachnia

Armada Scavenger

Wheeljack

The Insecticons

Blitzwing, just hate the generic thug types. Yay Predacons for what they did to him in the Dreamwave comics.

I actually like Blurr and Wheelie. Don't know what all the fuss is about.

I particularly liked your point about the fangirls.
I am a Starscream fangirl, but I never heard anyone trying to describe him as "beautiful." Though I have never been to the blackest depths of the Internet where the searchphrase is "Starscream Fangirl." But then I've never been to the Darkest Depths of the Internet. I thought that idea was funny. I can quite imagine some lovestruck fangirl coo, "He's just so, so...beautiful, I really can't describe it, his voice is so lovely, I swoon when I hear it. Its like an angel's", *sighs*. :P
Yes, he is handsome, but sometimes, "giant winged rat" would fit him better.
And his voice sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard sometimes.
I AM THAT WIERD FANGIRL YOU'VE HEARD OF.

Grimlock - I think what annoys me the most is he's so popular and I don't get why. Such a fuss is made over him but as a character, both cartoon and comic, is just so bland.

Sunstorm - Oh for **** sake, he was essentially an animation error and he receives this much attention? And he needs to be in nearly every line as a tacky yellow repaint because ...

Weapon: Fusion Cannon
Powerglide: I really wish he'd go away as much as he says he would.

Seaspray: I really cannot stand any TF who becomes romantically involved with a flesh creature. (See Powerglide)

Grimlock: He's Transformers answer to Wolverine. The two of them are just alike.

Wheelie and Blurr: I don't think I really need to explain this one do I?

Skyfire/Jetfire: He was a glorified schoolbus. Even the Autobots left him for dead until they needed a lift somewhere.

Predaking: I have no respect for anyone who gets his ass handed to him biweekly by Sky Lynx.

G1 Megatron: This guy was the biggest dumbass in the history of dumbass TFs. "My master plan sucked ass. I'll smack Starscream around like he's Tina Turner and then I'll fly off as soon as my dumbass scheme fails." "my ultimate weapon is Prime's arm on the Empire State building." "Oh ****, fire retardant foam, we'll all die! Retreat!" Umm, Megatron, if FRFtm is so dangerous, how come it's not hurting the Autobots? Dumbass.

You know, I actually quite enjoyed DW's take on Sunstorm. I don't see anything wrong with expanding on a minor character; look at Marvel's Ratbat, that was a nice surprise. Although I will admit a large part of Sunstorm's popularity likely comes from the fact that he's another seeker, and I can see why he would be disliked, I enjoyed the fact that he was "crazy with a purpose".

I forgot to mention earlier that with the exception of Silverbolt, I loathe the Aerialbots. Slingshot was an idiot in the cartoon, and overall, I find their designs to be generic.

Tracks. I can't get into the yuppie voice, and I never liked the episodes that featured him. Soundwave and Starscream decide to rule the world via a discotheque. Brilliant. That is much better than going after the worlds energy supplies.

I detest the way they depicted wheelie. If you look at the tech spec, he's just a small, tough Autobot survivalist. They turned that into a ryming fool child with a slingshot.

As for characters I detest - energon Alpha Quintession.

Wheelie- For obvious reasons.

Beast Machines Primal- I liked the new design but if I wanted to sit in front of my tv and hear some hippie ramble on about the importance of meditation and how machines are ruining the planet I would have gone across the street to the park. At least then I could have been mercifully stoned too.

Beast Machines Nightscream- Like Cheetor in early Beast Wars but tenfold more emo and whiny. Plus, all the annoying puns the other Maximals made seemed so much worse coming from him.

Beast Machines Botanica- A pacifist robot who "transforms" (in the seies it was way more like morphing) into... a plant. Kind of like Primal except he occasionally STFU and fought.

Cybertron Override- I'm fine with female Transformers in moderation but Override always seemed more like a weird tranny-bot to me.

Gen One Optimus Prime. Like Megs Prime was from another toy line, the Diaclone line. The toy back was exposed. The 20th MP version of Prime is better. More cartoon accurate.

Gen One Bumblebee. Not very well bulit. Flimsy.

The Hasbro version of Ginrai AKA Powermaster Prime. They did not included the secondary trailer with the toy. They did corrected when they released a second time.

Machine Wars Thunderclash (AKA Prime in the US) The transformation was too stiff.

Constructicons Classics. The alt forms are to bulky.

Metroplex Superlink Terrible alt form.

:-B OK a litle hitory lesson:
Hasbro boght the Diacloens and Micromens and what thernames are for the US market. Then they decided to put them into one toyline and to promote the toyline they asked Marvel to make a comic series and a cartoon series (wich they later produced), so they formed 2 teams renamed and recolered the carakters (thats wy the japanes cale Prime convoy) and did a litle redesigning to make them posible to anamate and bring to comics. :-B
Guess how owened the original Diaclones and the rest of the bots that came out in the 1970's?... yess TAKARA! :)

I too like Sunstorm. He's the anti-BM Primal: a fanatic yes but not a stupid tree hugging one.
Marvel and Ratbat, what the hell? Like if Ratbat was suddenly so important and all that, why the hell did he still ride around in Soundwaves' chest? Cool, yes, that they expanded on a real sidelines kind of character, but suddenly Ratbat is bossing Trypticon around? Hello, George and Lenny, someone stole your bit. I like Ratbat in War Within, and being rebuilt and yadda yadda, makes sense, but who takes orders from a tape? If I went home today and some beat up old Maxell starts telling me what to do, I'm throwing it away. However, if it changes into a mechanical bat and opens a mind controlling carwash, I'm moving to Siberia.

Well, Bumblebee would tell ya size doesn't matter. It's all about efficiency and the ability to get the job done. Ex; Laserbeak was usually pretty darn reliable, and Marvel Buzzsaw was quite the ferocious little beast. It may be silly, but minus that (shudder) carwash bit, I think Ratbat did a pretty decent job of leading the 'cons.

Gee, I guess I'm the weird one here, I can't remember any TF I hated, or didn't fancy so much, except maybe Spike. I like every cartoon character, in every series, for what they were, or what not. But humans on the other hand, like in the Armada series, even Alex, I just couldn't stomach, too kiddy or like, OMG trying too hard to be hardcore? Ugh.
