What TFs item holds sentimental value to you?

There is more to Transformers than movies, cartoons, comics and toys. Discuss anything else Transformers here.

Tough question as most of them hold good memories for me.

I have a really REALLY vivid recollection of my childhood, Here's some examples

Perceptor - I remember my buddy and I got two ants and put them in the microscope tray to watch them
Ravage - lost him in my buddies bushes in the front yard, we made SO many trips into those itchy ferns, all unsuccessful but worth the effort
Thundercracker - for some reason we put those "Nibs" licorice things in his cockpit b4 eating.
Megatron - My parents took me to Maclouds to buy him and it was during Cabbage patch kid Mania and the store was packed full of crazy fighting insane soccer moms.
Optimus - my dad bought him for me form Woolco in Surrey BC
Metroplex - I saw him on display and couldn't stop thinking about him. I saved and saved and save and vought him form Toys and Wheels with my own money - quite the achievement for a 10 year old.
Grapple - I remember playing in my buddies backyard with him - he was so much bigger than all the other Autobot cars - I waa in awe.
Constructicons - we took al six of these to McCutcheon park and played with them on this giant log - it was awesome. I think I stole Devestators head from Zellers at one point too.

I should stop now - there's a story for every one pretty much

Weapon: Sniper Rifle
My very first TF was an Easter present (go figure!) from my parents that showed up as a surprise in my basket on Easter morning. I got jumpstarter Topspin, and my brother got Twintwist. That's what started the whole craze for me... Just last year I was able to pull those guys out, clean them up and give them some fresh stickers--they're just like new! Very nostalgic.

Flashbacks here.

I'll assume you mean the Woolco at Guildford that is now a Wal*Mart. But which Toy&Wheels location? I used to hang out at the Surrey Place one for ages when my mom worked a couple store down from there. It's where I bought the first TF with my own money, we walked in one day and they had a couple Soundwaves.

I really miss that chain, but they just had no chance once TRU planned to expand here.

You got it, that was the Woolco.

As for Toys and Wheels I grew up in Chilliwack and we had one there(Abbotsford did to) so that's where I bought my Metroplex. I did initially see the Metroplex display though at the Hans Christian Anderson toyshop in Guildford and it blew my small mind lol!

Again I miss that chain.

They may of had a dozen stores or so, but every one I went to had a frendly feel to it, nice staff. I remember buying a few of my G1s from the SP store as well as Lego, ExoSquad, and discount Intellivison Games.

I also remember buying G2 Bumblebee and Hubcap from the one at what is now the Royal City Mall in New West, smaller store but nifty as they had Statshop Enterprises right across the hall from them.

It's too bad the chain went downhill for the last couple years before they started closing locations, as I most likely would have applied for the Surrey location.

I remember Hans Christian Toys, but I can't remember buying anything from them. However I might have bought Starriors from them as a gift.

Starriors are also a much loved toyline from my childhood, I think they're quite underrated.

I agree that Toys n Wheels did unfortunately go downhill in their last few years. I remember looking at Action Masters at the one in Chilliwack as it had it's closing down sale.

I don't think I ever bought anything from Hans Christian Anderson, they wer pretty expensive. I do remember seeing a lot of Star Wars in the Surrey one though, my dad said no to the Wampa that day...sigh....

I understand your pain.

A couple weeks (not sure the exact time frame) before the debut of the G1 Cartoon (we had it on KVOS didn't we?) There was a huge display of the original boxed releases in a pile at the old K-Mart on King George HWY. I thought they looked awesome, but my parents weren't interested in buying toys that day.

Needless to say I wasn't at that store again until after the show came out and they wouldn't ever have that large a display again. I wouldn't get the Soundwave from T&W until a few months later.

Red G1 Sideswipe, back in the early '80's I guess it was when I got him, he was my first transformer toy, every time I visualize him in my mind I still get a faint flashback feeling of what it was like to transform a car into a robot.

My how things have changed, back then those toys were like what, I think 4.00? Lol.. Extremely easy to transform compared to the Transformers of today.

Others that come to mind are Soundwave, also from that timeframe, I got him for Christmas, and I couldn't wait to get him. I knew my mom had it hidden in her bedroom somewhere, so 1 day I went looking for it and found it, don't remember if I was just looking at it or actually took it out of the box, don't remember, in any case, I got caught and was told I wouldn't get it for Christmas or something because of that, don't remember exactly. Naturally, parents always say that, so I still got it for Christmas. Soundwave was 1 of my most favorites.

I guess Bumblebee also somewhat. I seem to remember a version of him that you put a penny in to make the mini car go...unless I'm thinking of some other toy, really can't remember, you're talking like 22+ years ago, lol.

All my G1 toys......
My mother thought that they had no use for me when I got around 13-14 years old(since I was old enough for toys...)and she threw them away one day when I was at school....
If my memory serves me right there were aprox. 25 figures, one of which was my favorite Devastator.....
After that I stopped collecting for many years. It was until I saw Cybertron Landmine at a toyshop and decided to start my TF collection again. So,Landmine holds sentimental value to me too....

I had hours & hours of fun playing with G1 Galvatron & Devastator/Constructicons... definitely my favorites as a kid.

I loved collecting Decepticons (while my brother collected Autobots, making for epic battles), but Galvatron & Devastator were my hands-down most sentimental, followed by G1 Skywarp (my actual first Transformer). I don't have any of them today, after my brother sold them all online (hopefully some of you are the happy recipients of them, which would do my heart good knowing that they're loved & cared for by someone who appreciates them).

It's kind of hard to tell what TF item holds the most sentimental value to me, as I only got started collecting TFs back in December of 2006.

Give me another few years, and I should be able to tell what TF item holds sentimental value.

toys wise, all of my g1's from when i was a kid which is not many but on the top of that list would be Hodrod and ramjet. They were always my fav's.

But I also hold a specail place for the 86 movie, going to see it is my earliest memory in my life. you see i was only 2 or 3 but i remember what theater i saw it at, where my family sat, and pretty much everything about the movie...
