I have never had any problems with Wheeljack's Lab, and they have been an eBay seller for many moons without the name change as Liege Evilmus mentioned.

Wheeljack's Lab...heh.

1.) Notorious for bad communication skills.

2.) Bad attitude once payment is received.

3.) You get your stuff, but when it's convenient for him in the coming week. (I.E. If he ships out let's say, three times a week...he could put your shipment out on Wednesday, but he'll *wait* for Friday to send it, even though he doesn't have to. With him, it's like Two-Face flipping his coin. But he won't make you wait weeks and weeks or anything like that. I know that's nitpicking, but my point is, he screws with people when he doesn't have to.)

4.) It's a crap shoot, because he uses stock photos most times, so you might get something mint, or something he perceives as mint.

I'm not saying he's the worst person to deal with, but in terms of courtesy...he's really, really low on the totem pole.

I've heard good and bad about him, mainly bad.

The one thing all sides can say is, he's honest enough to get your stuff to you. I don't think I've seen anyone get ripped off by him, even once. So, rest easy knowing you'll receive the product, no question about that.

Ok, now I am worried. There are lots of peeps saying he isn't good (on this board and others). Supposing I get the items and they are not as described (worse)?

Oh you'll get the stuff, that's not the problem.

But, to answer your question, if it comes and it's in worse shape than he claimed, you're pretty much gonna have to eat it, because he's an absolute bear to deal with and won't take it back. He's not personable.

I was just thinking the same thing. That's what I would have done. But to answer your question: I've dealt w/ him many times. In fact, many of my own G1 TFs came from him. I've never had any issues w/ him except one. He sold me a Swoop for $95 and the rifles wouldn't hold the missiles very well. His only response to that was the quote from the instruction manual about that very problem. Funny thing is, my brother had one way back in the day and the missiles sat perfectly in the rifles. So, I don't buy into the excuse when I pay almost $100 for him. Putting that aside, I'd buy from him again if my collection wasn't 100% complete all ready.

Plus I used to sell my things on Carbombya. Go there my post should be on one of the earlier pages from a few months back

Did you write to him through eBay?

So does that mean the cap won't come off?

It means that he cant answer that question with out getting into trouble with the feds.If your that worried dont buy this figure.

On a whim I bought an incomplete, loose Downshift from him about 2-3 months ago. I payed $10 for Downshift and $5 shipping. I wasn't expecting a lot, but I figured that it was worth the risk espescially considering that I've seen a mint in bag go for $500 + at times (no one in their right mind should charge THAT much for him, but still). In the item it stated that he had faded so I was a bit worried. When I received it, I was amazed at the condition. I took him apart and cleaned him a bit, but after that he looked like he was in barely played with condition. I would definitely buy from him again (on the off chance that I'm not broke).

Meh. bought something off him once, last time though. WHile I understand Canada is considered international to the states, he's the only American ebay seller I've ever had tell me I couldn't use my Canadian paypal account with credit card to purchase stuff off him. Had to pay an arm and a leg for shipping because of this, or by money order which would have been a hassle.

Still, has good prices and good items, just don't care to mess around with not being able to pay him via paypal.

He sells a lot so he is sometimes slow with the communications I think, but understandable.

I'm not sure that thing about stock photos is entirely true. Right now he's got two G1 Jetfires up, and the preview pic on one shows significant yellowing on the wings while the other does not. My guess is that, at least with the eBay listings, wysiwyg.

FWIW, I just bought something from him a couple of weeks ago, and had absolutely no problems.

A lot of sellers on ebay do that....they use one pic while selling mutible items...its nothing new.You just got to be carefull who you by from....you can also ask the seller to email you a photo of the real peace.
