Whoa. We're confirmed on that? Heh. That'll set off some fan rage. Me, personally, I don't mind the colors, I'm more concerned with the quality. It looks like Derpy Hooves and a Transformer got together and had a spawn.

I'd imagine we'll be getting both... or I suppose more accurately Hasbro "plans" on releasing both like how it "planned" on releasing DotM Que and FE Bulkhead.

Hasbro seems determined on getting a full combiner out with as little hassle to the regular customer as it can (*cough*), seeing how the whole Combaticon team is in Wave 2 and not spaced out in such a way that one or more inevitable never gets released. Releasing the molds again would make sense in that regard; the repaints (whichever ones that is) will probably either be in a later wave or a boxed set.
Can't imagine why they'd make two completely different sets --one screen-accurate and one an homage-- including stock photos, and only do one, much less the inaccurate one.

Here, we have red on the left(hex code FF0000), red-orange on the right(hex code FF3300), and swindle's shin blown up to about 25x (middle) from the G2 Swindle I posted. It looks as though Swindle's color is actually a darker red than I previously claimed.

By all means, blow the pic up and test the colors for yourself. It's no more orange than it is pink.

STOP ARGUING ABOUT WHAT COLOR SWINDLE IS! Cripes, this is stupider than my yellow vs. green Constructicon debate! Next thing you know you'll be arguing whether the camo is purple or blue!

On topic, I'm with those that believe we'll be getting the toxic rainbow colored one... not that I ultimately care either way, none of the individual components look that good, and the combined mode looks pants.

You're clearly trying to go the extra mile to make a point. Unfortunately, this is still not a meaningful comparison. The shade in your photograph was affected by the particulars of your camera as well as the ambient lighting when you took the picture.

In order to get a meaningful comparison, you'd need to take photographs of reference swatches with the same camera in the same lighting.

And then you can be Right. Maybe.

Whoever came out with the sticker ideas for the AM line deserves to be shot. Now lets hope that idea is only for the prime line and the united line continues with metalic paint.

The upcoming United releases (the PCC ones) have paint, not stickers. Insinuating TakaraTomy has dropped paint entirely is very much drawing conclusions too soon.

Well, thanks everyone! I do appreciate the feedback. I too hope for the more G1-ish looking version, but I'm sure we will get the silly coloured one instead. Oh well.

I will just be a realist then and not buy that figure.

Hasbro, you had a great idea there to release the Combaticons as a combiner. Awesome stuff. I would have bought at least one of each. And then you go and screw it up by painting it the wrong colors.

I'm gonna answer anyway:

Doesn't matter, they'll end up in United or a similar line, thus will get paint. Stickers and assembly are the Arms Micron series' gimmick, not United's and I'm expecting the FoC toys, whichever line they'll end up in, to receive paint.

I wanna hold this one in my hand, get a real close look at it, before I make my decision. I'm just not even 50% sure on this one yet..........

Overall color wise, the bottom goes better with the usual crayola colors Hasbro dishes out and what, thus, fills my collection.

In terms of overall feel, the top is better. The colors work better with one another.

I think the bottom version wouldn't look so bad if that one arm wasn't fire engine red. It stands out like a sore thumb! At least the yellow plays in with the green, but that red is just - ugh! Probably would have looked better being several shades darker, if not an entirely different color.

I hope that my plans to spend extra for United color treatment are still a good idea. I have all of the WFC in United paint jobs and would love to do the same with FOC. I'd hate to see the "toxic rainbow" version come from both companies. Arms Micron, RTS Preceptor, and a few from the Prime lineup prove that they don't always get it right, but when they do, I think it's money well spent.

I don't think that's the case, unless they've changed the mold between taking those two pictures. Go and look at the two pictures in the first post. In the first picture you can see a thumb.

I don't mind the red arm so much. the blue one actually bugs me more, it's to cloae to the primary body's color. won't matter though I'll still pick it up.
