Motto: "Life Flows On Within You And Without You"
Weapon: Null-Ray Rifle
Jazz Alternator/Binaltech with G1 Reprolabel stickers.
By far the best version of Jazz out there IMO.

Final battle.

Or if you can try and snag a G1 repaint of the interwebz.

I've got one of every mold of Jazz so far (except the little pvc one and world's smallest) and I've gotta say the Alternator one is still my fave. I loved the movie one and have each version, the battle damage looks awesome, but if you just need one Jazz, I think the Alternator captures the style of the character immaculately. I got two, still need to get the G! stickers from reprolabels for the car mode one.

If you like the movie look, and aren't stuck on transforming, the Robot Replica one looks very nice, and is in an almost "deluxe" size range, would work well with posing with the average figure and having the size somewhat close. Although I thought all the other Robot Replica's were pretty lame, especially Prime. That was some sloppy pain.

I'm thinking the Animated one or supposed Classics 2.0 one are gonna be awesome and even more G1ish, so I wouldn't be suprised if one of those took top spot for me.

100% agreement with Iron Maniac. Alt Jazz by himself is cool but the reprolabels make him the best Jazz ever.

Does it transform? My bro works at a store that sells TF's but Jazz is final battle. He gets a good discount, so i may buy that one. How much is Alternators Jazzy?

Don't know what he's going for now on Ebay but I paid about $20 for mine a while back. The reprolabel set is $12.

While there's a Jazz thread...anyone have any issues with movie Jazz (I have the G1 repaint, if there's a difference) where his back tires don't seem to wanna touch the ground all the way in his alt mode due to those roundish pieces on the bottom...which would be on the sides of his feet in robot mode? If I have him on a flat surface, his front tires are fine while the bottom back scrapes against the ground (those roundish pieces) and both tires won't touch.

If you're following me...am I transforming him wrong? Those parts kinda rotate, but they don't seem to really go anywhere. I checked the instructions, but I didn't see anything about it.

I just checked on my original and battle damaged and they both are very very close there. Looks like a design issue. Holding them up it looks like there's just enough clearance for the tires to roll freely, but when you set it down the play from the pin in the tires has the slack taken out and the underside hits. Not much you can do about it unless you want to file the "fake decoration tires" down some.

Bummer, but good to know it's not just mine. Thanks for checkin'.

I did mess with it some and got it so it's not scraping horribly, the wheels will turn at least, but it's still not quite how it "should" be.

Movie Jazz is okay. I got Autobot and Final Battle Jazz. Solid toy in my opinion. Final Battle Jazz, just for his gun though, way better than the telescoping sword

My Movie Jazz works fine. The rear wheels should be touching the ground, and rolling unhindered.

The roundish thing do have its intended positions. The instructions are not complete. Both in car mode and robot mode, the round thing should turn and lock into position. The lock is not too obvious. But if you check the inside surface of the roundish thing, you'll see that it's all flat, except for a small protrusion. This protrusion is the cog that locks into place when rotated sufficiently into position, both ways, for robot and car modes.

In robot mode, the round thing should be rotated towards the front (don't be shy to rotate it all the way), and the cog locks into a small protrusion (colored black) in the ankle. The protrusion is always hidden no matter how you turn the round thing. You'll have to peep thru it with the toes facing directly at you. Final position is to have the arrow shape pointing upwards. (longer leg of the arrow towards back of the robot leg, almost touching the rear wheel, shorter leg of the arrow faces forward.)

Note: In this "locked" position, you'll see that when you move or rotate the foot, the round thing always goes with it.

In car mode, the round thing should be rotated inwards (towards the center of the car). The cog locks into the protrusion (colored silver this time) just right behind the rear wheel. Final position is to have the arrow shape pointing approximately towards the rear of the car.
