Who are your favorite authors?
So what do you enjoy reading. I really like David Eddings. I also read some of Mercedes Lackey but not all of it. Mostly her Valdemar books. Dee Henderson is a suspense author that I enjoy reading as well.

The duo of Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child is probably my favorite. It's kind of ironic that many of the books that they write without the others help are pretty bad. I wouldn't really classify their books as horror stories, but they're close. Anyone who cares for that type of book I would highly suggest checking them out. I would reccomend reading them in order, starting with Relic as stories and characters kind of work into later books.
Stephen King would be my next choice, but I'm still pissed off about the ending of the Dark Tower series.

Science fiction authors, mainly: Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Peter David, Orson Scott Card, and Douglas Adams. You can add Michael Crichton on there for semi-SF and Edgar Allen Poe for classic horror.

Bruce Campbell... an author ?!?! I need to look that up!
Anyways, When it come sto Star Wars novels I'll read anything Zahn writes... it's always gold.
Lately I've been reading R.A. Salvatores series' (The Dark Elf Trilogy, The Icewind Dale Trilogy, Legacy of the Drow, Paths of Darkness, The Cleric Quintet)
For anybody who is even a little into fantasy and hasn't read those I highy recomend them

I'm into Robert Jordan and Terry Goodkind. In fact I'm scouring second hand bookshops for their out of print hardbacks.
Also in to Grant Morrison, Neil Gaiman and Geoff Johns.

His autobiography "If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor" is an absolute hoot... it's a fun little tale of a bunch of Michigan kids who had a passion to make movies and managed to make good on it. I haven't gotten around to reading his other book yet, though.
Mike Nelson is also really funny. You could throw Dave Barry in there in the same vein, too.

Here, Here, I was soo p!ssed.
However, I got back up on that horse. I recently finished "Different Seasons". The last story read like a EA Poe and was truly excellent.
I also just finished "Blaze" by R Bachman, had potential but it ended too...easy.
A lady at work has loaned my the "Bachman Books, From a Buick 8, and the Regulators", but I have to finish "Uncle Tom's Cabin" first.
I have DeBuois, "Souls of Black Folks" lined up, but I don't know how much UTC will affect me.
Other than that, I like D Koontz. F'n "Lightning" Rox!
I read a lot but I've been on a Stephen King kick for about 6 months now.

He spoke at the local university a year or two back. He's really funny, and cool. I already loved his work as an actor, but I think he's really got it going on upstairs too.
