You lucky son of a laser rifle :D
The urge to nab one of these is getting larger but they are incredibly hard to find. How about some beast mode pictures Zemper?

Congrats Zemper!! your Lio Convoy and Galvatron are an awesome set! I think that the Robot Master version is the best, it's a shame they didn't add that Galvaton in scale as well.

The Lio Convoy owners/fans thread. Post pics and thoughts here!

Postby zemper » Wed Sep 12, 2007 6:28 pm

thanks guys, i was just lucky that i met in our local TF collector's forums a collector from the northern part of our country who had these amazing set and selling it for that price...the Lio Convoy's missing his other missiles though, mine came only with two. but for the price and condition of the figures, it was WAAAAY worth it.

i mean, a MISB set of this goes for over $100 USD in eBay!

i'll try to take some pics later of the beast mode dude. have to prepare to go to work, it's early morning here.

a caveat when looking to buy Lio Convoy though...like i said earlier, don't expect to get some heavy play time with him. he's sturdy alright, except for the upper body assembly especially the armpits...it's scary to see that the ball joint for the arms are mounted on a rectangular plastic piece that does not secure into anything...get him if you want a collector's piece that you can pose & transform from time to time.

part of the high points i give to this fig is that i got him pretty cheap compared to what he's selling right now. so if you see one below $50 and you really want to nab him, then by all means get him.

yeah, i agree, the robot master's the best version of LC yet, except for the size. wish they'd made it voyager-class at most. i already have an RM-22 LC shipping in from singapore, of all places. bought him MISB for $29 including shipping. not a bad deal considering the RM's rarity nowadays. will post pics when it arrives in a week or so. 8)

(P.S., LC owners post here thoughts and sentiments on this great but ultimately flawed figure. show your love for the White Lion!)

Congrats on getting BW2 LioConvoy and Galvatron Zemper!
They are a great buy. I had to buy mine individually. Getting those two in one is a steal!

I dont know, RM version has a nice robot mode but terrible beast mode. Regular version has a nice beast mode but terrible robot mode. Think I'd go for the regular version since I keep most of my Beast Wars figures in beast mode.

Err what beast mode pictures? 8)

Great! Now you need Big Convoy and Magmatron. Because they're better that's why. I'm not a huge fan of Lio Convoy other than his look but Galvatron I got a few weeks ago and as funky as he is, I like him a bunch. Anyway, yeah. Go get those other leaders now. :P

After seeing all these pictures...

January, when it comes, I am going to take all my Armada-verse stuff down off the shelves and repopulate it with the BW universe.

Pictures in 4 months or so.

Well, I'm am so tempted to have my P.O.L. shipped from BBTS now. Must. Wait. Arggghhh!

I guess I'll have to content myself with the RM version when it comes in in a few weeks.

yeah, all thanks to a collector from Manila who definitely took good care of these babies. though LC only came with 2 missiles, ah well. at least the rest of the toy's minty. LOL.

QFT on both accounts. though ironically i keep my regular-sized LC in robot mode all times. the robot mode's terrible only when you try to pose the arms, otherwise it looks really good and very imposing, towering over all my other TFs.

i'll post the beast mode pics later, promise.

yeah, actually that's next on my list! i'm currently looking for Big Convoy, except that he seems to be more rarer than LC and much more expensive. but from what i hear he's got a MOST EXCELLENT robot mode, much poseable to boot.

that's why my sig reads "beast/convoy collector". currently looking to complete all beast versions of convoy (i have ultra-class 10th BW reissue coming in mail). only Big Convoy will help me finish my current collection theme.

Nice. I got mine from here: http://gundamstoreandmore.com/tak57697.html for about $23 with shipping.

As it happens, I'm also hunting Big Convoy. No luck so far, though. :-( But if you're interested BBTS has the RM version of Beast Convoy for a really good price right now.

Yeah, gundamstore is in Michigan I think, and I'm also in the states, but I had to pay them by mail(funky stuff with my PayPal account, don't ask. :-x) so it's going to take a bit longer.

I just bought the oversized Yellow and cleasr-sparkily Lio Convoy from Big Lots last week. I plan on painting him today in his original colors

yeah man, the 20th Primal also comes with the 20th Megs, this set was bought loose but mint complete on eBay, and i had it shipped to my uncle who lives in Florida so that he can send it together with the other gifts and stuff in a large box he usually sends to us here in the Philippines. 8)

what's more excellent is that this set i won on eBay also comes with the deluxe 10th Primal/Megs remold, complete with the Axalon and Darkside! 4 versions of 2 figures in one shot. can't wait for it to be shipped here.

I wished I lived in the states so I could order the RM version from the Gundam store. (Come on guys, Canada is part of the states... no? Oh well at least I tried.)
Gonna have to settle with a drawing of Lio Convoy at this rate. Trying to find these awesome figures just isn't healthy for me.

You're getting pretty lucky lately Zemper, can I get some of that luck? B-)

hahaha, if you want luck that comes with having to work your arse off to pay some of the debt you incurred on the credit card you use because of an eBay shopping binge last month, then be my guest. :P

but seriously, if i had any real luck, i'd be getting a Big Convoy for cheap right now. that will (hopefully) keep me off ePAY for the next month or so. IF. 8)

btw, doesn't gundamstoreandmore.com offer international shipping? an alternative would be shipping to a close relative in the states, who then will have it mailed to you in canada.

I try to avoid Ebay like the plague, thats probably why I'm not being very successful.

Gundamstoreandmore.com FAQ wrote: We no longer ship internationally or accept international orders. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

It's a shame I don't have any relatives in the states either (though I'd be a little embarrased to ask them if they were.)

^I hear you man, I also avoid eBay. Fortunately, for me most of what I've been looking for lately has been available elsewhere.

And yeah, Canada being included in "international" orders really sucks. *thumbs down*

i'd also avoid eBay, but from where i live (a fairly medium-sized island among the 7.107 islands our country has), there's massive dearth of vintage TF toys. that's why i usually blow cash and risk it on eBay. 8)

actually prices are cheap if you can get a good deal. but the killer is the huge international shipping, which sometimes can go double or triple the price of your auction winning! :-x
