Ironhide was in the pool. When he got out, he walked somewhat stiff.
Prime was in the field
Ratchet near the coffee shop
Jazz landed in the stadium.

Actually you're not the only one. A lot of people I know did too, especially seeing the trailer, and in the movie with that music, it could have been. Except for the immediate scene after with the family's topkick... that is one WELL OFF upmarket family!

This has nothing to do with anything, as all of the protoforms look the same and dont have any unique characteristics.

And the reason for the choir music during the pool scene was for dramatic effect, i mean huge alien robotic life form making first contact with a little human girl...pretty damned dramatic if you ask me.

Watch the pool scene again guys. You'll see that the family has the same truck in the drive way that Ironhide scans as his body. After that you'll see that there's 2 of that truck in the drive way and one of them drives off.

Ergo....Ironhide landed in the pool.

After he gets outta the pool ... look how tall/lean he is in comparison to the trees. I'm still leaning toward it being Prime.

Also, the one that lands in the field kinda runs like Prime did in the scene where BB got captured. It's impossible to know for sure. Maybe they were both variations of Prime landing, and Ironhide's version was cut from the movie?

Scenes are cut/pasted in movies all the time. Ironhide's truck scan could just be cut too close.

I just watched it over and over again. The truck is not seen next to the home with the pool.

It just happens to be the next scene ... nothing ties that TopKick to the house w/ the pool. There's so much random skipping between scenes that we just can't go by what happens next.

Pool bot was tall and lean. Also, when Prime scanned the truck from the hill ... It's the same EXACT build as the bot that came from the pool.

Field bot was shorter and stocky, had a large center piece on chest. HUGE forearms.

Verdict, there isn't enough evidence to figure exactly who is who.

When I use slow motion, everything is way too blurry to make out.

They don't all look the same, either. Protoform Jazzes chest and arms look completely different than the field bots. Look at him right before he scans the Solstice, then refer back to the field scene.

I will say that all their heads look very similar, though.

My "guesses"

Pool: Prime
Field: Ironhide
Street: Ratchet
Stadium: Jazz

I am not saying that your observations are wrong but I am not sure that the house was near the road when Prime scans the 18-wheeler.

If you look at the landscape you'll see that the tree's behind the pickup truck are very simular to the ones that the pool bot hid behind.

There wasnt really any difference in the chest peace. It was the amount of light that was reflecting of of the chest that made it appear different.

And its to hard to tell that the feild bot is shorter because he was crouching and running.

But!!!!!!!!!!While useing slow motion I did pick up on something you missed. The knee cap area.

When Prime scans the truck you can see from the side that the knee area sticks out to the sides quite a bit.But on the feild bot there more streamed lined and in front of his legs much more like the bot we know is Jazz.

AlienQuiksilver wrote:Verdict, there isn't enough evidence to figure exactly who is who.

I would now agree....its possible that we really didnt see the landing of each bot.Bay may have edited some of the footege out and used all the scenes that he thought looked cool.

He could have walked a while......and if you slow the scene down there is a building of some kind behind Prime...it could be a house or a Burger King :-P

Ditto. There were no houses to be seen, and that environment just goes together better with the field than an upmarket suburb.

... and I also agree with this. Which further confuses the situation.

Funny thing, though. My cousin lives out in the middle of nowhere. Dublin,PA. It's the epitome of suburbia.

The whole housing development is brand new, and his back yard is a front row seat to a freeway. There are trees planted that will eventually shield the homes. There's also a hill obstructing it somewhat. It's just that the exact scene we're analyzing would work in my cousin's back yard. It's a really nice house, too. He was pissed when he moved in though, because he was told that a barrier would go up to shield everything from the noise of passing vehicles.

I think of his place every time I see that scene.

Back on topic ... they really did a poor job of cutting that section of the movie. I wish it flowed a little better. As ridiculously AWESOME as it is ... that's my complaint.

Doesn't the movie take place in California?

The Stadium is a pretty big open space in a crowded city. Safe enough landing target to avoid human casualties.

Now if you want to get technical, perhaps we should listen to the scenes music to see where a new section starts/ends, perhaps this will help with getting through some peoples heads that that was Ironhide geting out of the pool.

So far the only real argument against that is "Oh there were lots of scenes that kept switching' blah blah blah.

Prime transform and runs off while in a field. He ends up near a road that is pretty dark, but you can tell it's pretty empty too, scans a truck.

Ironhide gets out of a pool in a fancy house with lots of trees, you see a top kick transform right after, i mean come on. How much more "put it together" can you get?

Did Ironhide land in a field and just wander into a subdivision looking for a vehicle? Does it not make logical sense that if he got out of the pool, that something in a driveway would be the closest thing to scan?
