Very good point.

There were no actual parts of Megatron taken out to create or manufacture Earth machines and technology.

You just basically use some ideas you learn from Megatron to make new machines.

What if someone did invent something from his own? And the idea in that invention was already present inside Megatron?

How would Allspark distinguish that?

Weapon: Gattling Gun
... exactly, if they analyzed him and got certain ideas and concepts like the internal combustion engine or print circuitry that are used today, it still doesn't explain how his evil destructive nature transfers over. We should write this one off as a poorly thought out idea and an even less though out answer from the creative team who had to come up with something while on the spot

Exactly what I have been saying, Orci has been hacking these thoughts out of his ass on the spot with no explainable evidence to point in that direction...All he says is thats what happen I meant to put it in there but I didn't.

I prefer they didn't push that "reverse engineered from Megatron" crap. It's so out of line. Very difficult to support.

Better just say the new bots created, such as Mountain Dew bot, and Nokia bot, had a sudden awakening of some sort, to explain the violent behavior. Like a baby crying when newly born.

Or that they have not chosen sides yet.

Or they were just scared. Or confused.

Nokia bot: "I'm trapped in a tiny box! What are these giant thingies staring at me?! AHHH!"

Mountain Dew bot: "What's goin' on here? Everybody's running around and screaming... Must be a fight, so I ought to protect myself. Oh man, I gotta get out of here, like NOW!"
Life can be pretty sweet when your alt-mode is a B-2 Stealth Bomber.

And for those of you who are wondering... I'M A GIRL!

I'm not prejudiced; I hate everyone equally.

Even better:

Free sodas!! Get your free sodas here! Oh, you want one, sir? Here ya go! *lobs soda through launcher, hits guy in the back & breaks it.* Hey, look He's so happy that he's just going to lay down in the street & insert it into his drink port right now. I'm doing Primus' work here. Sodas for everybody!!!!

Nah, honestly most of the stuff in the movie dosen't make sense.....they just put it in to sound cool & make money, but they left a lot of holes doing so that could come back & bite the franchise in the arse when the initial "wow, giant f*cking robots on the big screen!! *drool*" shock wears off & people start to notice stuff like how robots from outer space can be so suceptable to cold temperatures.

Let's just face it, they should have kept them in spaceships.....

I think the original G1 storyline would fare better in that case. Still with lots of plot holes, but an overall more solid story. And the holes are easier to plug or modify.

Yeah I think the story would have been more coherent, plus with all the time since G1 aired there has been alot of plausible and well thought out explanations for some of its shortcomings

It's a pity the new movie failed to capitalize on this.
