I heard there's a full frontal nudity sex scene with Anthony Anderson and Bernie Mac halfway through the movie. That could be why.

Don't give him stupid, made up answers when he's asking a legitimate question.
It's very rare that you can understand Godzilla's posts and have them make sense, so make the best of this situation and answer him honestly.
Godzilla:
It was a rumor, started by Shia LeBeouf (Sam Witwicky) himself believed to be due to a misunderstanding. We cannot confirm, nor deny that the R rating was originally given to the film. It's possible, but no one knows for sure if it ever really happened.
One of the reasons Shia might've been confused is, at the same time this was getting ready for release, he was starring in Suburbia, which was executive produced by both Bay and Spielberg (who are also at the helm of TF), and Suburbia almost received an R rating because it skirts real close to that level of violence and bloodiness. However, they were able to get Suburbia a PG-13 instead.
We may never know for sure whether or not it was originally due to receive an R, but it's possible.

Yeah your most probably right, but that doesn't give it an "R" highest probably MA, most likely M. Mild stuff doesn't really go out to and R.Bottom Out wrote:the excessive action scenes, mild language most likely, and im srue there is minor sexualality in it as well

Like what?
Like Megan Fox bending over and letting her tits threaten to drop right out of her shirt.

She's a T&A hooker, of course!

Actually I'm pretty sure it was 'Disturbia' that was in the whole "Spielberg went in and got the MPAA to change it to PG-13." There was an article with further information and a quote from somebody working at Dreamworks.
Unless, ironically enough both of Spielburg's recent films were originally/ first met with a possible R rating.
