When asked about the 1986 [Transformers] animated feature film, Shout! DVD producer Brian Ward responds: "No plans for the movie, right now. Sony Wonder did a pretty decent job only two years ago, so I'm not sure we could top it just yet. And it would be asking a lot to get folks to dip a third time."
AndrewFoster wrote:I just find it strange that Sony has discontinued the movie already.
Darth Bombshell wrote:That might be because the branch of Sony who made it went out of business shortly after they made it.

Considering both are still readily available in stores, I highly doubt it.

I've seen it still at places like FYE.Rodimus Prime wrote:Darth Bombshell wrote:Ratbat wrote:I'm guessing Transformers: The Movie (and its soundtrack?) could be re-released in 2011, which will be that movie's 25th anniversary.

Cuz Gandalf already mentioned it being at BestBuy.com. Besides, it's not like every FYE would have still it. Not every one of the same store has the same quantity of old products remaining on their shelves.Rodimus Prime wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I've seen it still at places like FYE.Rodimus Prime wrote:Darth Bombshell wrote:Ratbat wrote:I'm guessing Transformers: The Movie (and its soundtrack?) could be re-released in 2011, which will be that movie's 25th anniversary.

So why didn't you mention that in your first post? I think the OP would have found it useful.
