Love this guy. Bot mode is of course the only mode for display. So pointless and yet so desirable.

I would say Scout Class. A deluxe class would be better though. He would stop Decepticons in their tracks by simply turning red.

I would get him just because I am a completist but other than that I would be pretty apathetic about him.

Too small don't you think. Traffic light sized alongside Deluxe class vehicles. Delux class would be better.

The only reason its tall is because the post. The traffic light is the only thing that transforms. The best thing it could be used for is a blunt object.

I might, if it was done well.

I still think that there should be a TF playset where everything transforms from traffic lights to houses to post boxes etc etc.

I'm basing that on the design, not any kind of scale. It looks like a Minicon design. Besides, when have you ever seen a traffic light that was the size of a car?

That'd be scary if it was life-sized and had automorph technology. Imagine your on the pot and flush only to be crushed by a transformer you just crapped on

Good point. Playability would be better with a larger figure. Packaging would make it a deluxe figure as well given the size of the post.

Oh yeah, I love the Stoplight guy! It's so hilarious and awesome in the show when he finally busts out his transformation sequence. I'd buy the toy for sure.

Looks like we have a common thread here for people who want this figure released. Glad that I am not in the minority. Sure to be those that just do not care. No worries in the end. Just don't buy it.

It's a silly idea, and that's what makes it so cool, especially when he transforms all dramatically.

I only keep exclusives and limited ones in the box (I'll post pictures of my collection sometime when I get a spare minute).
I did go to Botcon and got everything. I'm selling my wife's set right now to cover some of the expenses we incurred.
It's great having that set but they are so rare now I don't want to touch them.

Agreed. That is one of the best bot modes that I have seen on a TF in a long time. Puts many of the ones that were released in Cybertron to shame.

Ah, Signal Lancer, you strike yet again!

This guy had a few cameos throughout the Galaxy Force/Cybertron series, mainly stopping people in the middle of nowhere.

Then he had his breakthrough in the final GF/C episode where he received his very own stock footage transformation.

Notably, his transformation itself is very very similar to Cybertron Mudflap's, There were a few members of this site trying to research ways to kitbash a Mudflap into a Signal Lancer, but it would have taken far too much work.

Personally I am hoping that Animated Prowl's Traffic Light accessory is some kind of nod to Signal Lancer, but that truly is wishful thinking.

BTW, I think he would be best as a Scout figure, Minicons are too short to be Traffic Lights.

He is fondly remembered from GF/Cybertron isn't he? One of best TF that was never mass produced. The very best is BW Neo Unicron of course.
