Sam ran up the building so the helicopters could see him.

Yeah. Brainless move. Who would want to bring a war into the city?
The Movie is full of effects and dramatics. Some of them really good ones.
But the story and sense of logic is really screwed.
lodelco wrote:That was what it was like in the script? Maybe Foster changed the scene in his novel then, which made more sense. :/The Movie is full of effects and dramatics. Some of them really good ones.

I just put it all down to adrenaline rushing and nobody can really think straight when they are being attacked by giant f'ing robots.
Hopefully the sequel can make atleast SOME sense.

Most Decepticons are indestructible flying beasts!
Who would have thought of such egg-head strategy???
Before that scene came out, at the time when Sam was being told to go up a white building... I was already laughing inside my head. "Are these guys seriously brain-dead???"

Why couldn't he have escaped inside one of the autobots. If a helicopter was coming to pick him up, Starscream or Megatron could have easily shot it down
syphonn wrote:And why would Megatron have to ask him for the cube, he could have just smashed the building and let both of them fall, I'm sure the cube would have survived
syphonn wrote:If it survived entry into the atmosphere I'm sure it could handle falling off the building and I'm almost certain he would stand a better chance of survival riding in side a transformer than a helicopter; Worst case he can exit the vehicle, and the robots can slug it out versus a helicopter which would basically be a flying duck. You are correct in saying they just wanted to end with an explosion-gasm but they could have executed it better, their logic just does not make sense.

That and a bigger budget and a more powerful graphics engine. For more bots of course.
I think the strike might actually do some good for them to think things over.
